Singa Pura King of Hawkers reviews
56Good place for singaporean and malaysian classics! Had the Char Kwey Teow, Chicken wings, Kaya toast and teh tarik. Noodles were excellent, chicken was flavoured with tumeric and was crispy, Kaya toast was thin and buttery and Teh was frothy service was friendly and fast. Lovely ambiance that was bright and fresh. All in all, nice place for a meal.
Excellent! Ordered about 8 hawker style dishes to try and they are all good, esp the prawn hokkien Mee, Singapore style.
Every time I have had their food - it is always of high quality. The staff members are so friendly! The food was absolutely divine. Every dish was so full of flavour that just makes you want to dance! This was place was recommended for a work dinner ever since then I fell in love! My partner had to drive down all the way here to just bring me back straight after the first time I have visited and I had to try multiple dishes. I cannot believe that for such high standard and delicious food - everything is so cheap! This is one night we attended and everything in the photos + 2 drinks (can of coke and lychee drink) totalled to approximately $83! My colleague and I have started to order from this place weekly for our lunch at work and we plan to work our way through the whole menu! I highly recommend this place and would like to continue to support this business as they deserve every recognition for amazing service and food they serve! Thank you so much?
Nice ambiance, service, however Laksa and Char Kway Teow was bland. Had the spice element, but lacked salt and the chilli, citrus and sweet balance. 4/10. Won’t be back.
Heard this place was Halal and we were already salivating looking at the menu. We had the Nasi Lemak and Laksa. Nasi Lemak was really good and chicken was awesome! It's fried chicken coated with spices and it goes really well with the rice and sambal. Laksa was also really good with good serving of noodles and seafood over curry laksa broth. Awesome service and ambience too.
I normally go to this place for the nasi lemak. One of the best nasi lemak that I’ve tried in Melbourne. The Laksa really good too. This time I’ve decided to try the Hainesse Chicken Rice. It was ok. Still happy to come back to this place to try more.or even come back for the nasi lemak:)
Good variety of Singaporean dishes, however tends to be on the salty side, but you can ask for less salt for most dishes.
I legitimately order take-away from this place 2-3 times a week.
The value is sooooo good, and the flavours, I generally get the laksa both the chicken or seafood, and Veg Nasi gorengs. I reckon its one of the best Nasi gorengs i've had in Melbs.also the curry sauce with Roti is awesome, and always order extra Roti, then pour any leftover over your Nasi goreng, trust me.
I'd post a picture, but it'd just be of an empty bowl
Food was alright and very dry. Not at all like the photos. Dont be fooled from Instagram photos
I truly enjoyed their prawn hokkien mee; it's full of flavour and the chili goes really well with the dish. Definitely reminds me of home. My friend had the CKT and it's pretty okay, she would love to have more sweet soy sauce.
Inexpensive meal for good Singaporean food. We had Hainan chicken rice veg spring rolls and nasi goreng for $31. Good value!
Came here for dinner and was very pleased with the authenticity, cleanliness, presentation and taste of the food, as well as the excellent service. Will definitely be back for more! Great work.
One of the best Fried Kway Teow in Melbourne. Sufficient wok hei. Good portion, good price, great value. 100% recommend!
Came here after reading a few reviews and all the good ratings. It’s a no brainer to order a Char Kway Teow with extra wok hei (charred) and Nasi Lemak. CKT was below average, tasteless although the wok hei is there. No taste of chilli, no salt, no lap cheong (Chinese sausage). Even the sambal we ordered by the side could not save it. In saying that, if you look at it as a fried noodle, then it’s ok I guess. It is definitely NOT CKT. The chef came out to ask us how was it, I gave a honest feedback and evidently he did not take it to his stride yet was defending his stance. Then why bother asking us
Nasi Lemak was well presented. The rice is well cooked but the curry and the sambal is a big let down. Utterly disappointed.
The service is good and friendly waiter, clean, portioned appropriately and well priced. $14.90 for a lunch deal with a drink and a starter.
Overall 4/10 and can be improved. Don’t know if I’d be back.
I had a great dinner from Singapura. My chicken laska was spot on, a little spicy, with fresh tasty ingredients. The chicken was good, and everything was delicious.
The roti bread was great. It was cripsy, buttery and no grease. Yum!
The fish balls were tasty and the sweet chilli sauce, wasn't too sweet.
My partners stir fry noodles with veggies was absolutely fantastic, it had a BBQ flavour and I could have eaten the lot hahaha.
This place is definitely worth a visit.
