Simon's Peiking Duck Chinese Restaurant

After ordering $66.00 duck they wanted to charge $1.00 for per piece for extra pancake did not have any of the desserts listed on the menu only ice cream very matter of fact device not really friendly the food was ok

We ordered Peking duck option 1. According to menu this should have included 1. Duck, pancakes, cucumber, onion, sauce 2. Stir fried bean shoot with duck meat 3. Duck bone soup with bean curd.
Duck was on the dry side. We had to ask for soup. Never even got the stir fried bean shoot. Also the duck gets carved in main dining area. I watched several being done and every time all the carcases got taken away with still a lot of meat on them. You pay for the whole duck but you don't get all of it. Quality and value for money very poor. Won't be going back.

Decent. The Peking duck crepe pancake is better than Old Kingdom's but that's about it. Everything else (duck, noodles, soup) loses out

One of the most renowned Peking Duck restaurants in Box Hill. You can pay $55 or $61 to get a whole duck. Only difference is if the stir fried is cooked with noodle or bean shoot. You can also get other chinese dishes.

One of the most beautiful Peking Duck I have ever tasted. The skin is very crispy, the meat is moist and tender.but most of all, they give back the cut duck to the table, unlike most Peking Duck restaurant who takes away the rest of the duck.

Duck was always good, but service was poor. We were rushed through our session as well. It was not a good experience and we went there several times, everytime thinking perhaps next time would be better. Sadly I think it’s time to move on to another Peking Duck restaurant.

Trying to make a booking and the guy was so rude. Never had this horrible customer service in Australia.

Nice peaking duck and the pancakes are nice and thin. Their credit card surcharge is excessive at 2.59%, and the guy at the counter clearly wanted cash.

Busy place, never been a fan of the double sitting, just felt too rushed to be out at 8pm. Food ok but better options in the area

No where near as good as when Simon was running the show. Service was horrible and while there were plenty of staff they somehow seemed to work very inefficiently. The front man seemed content to be friendly to the big table opposite us but was really rude when I politely confronted him about forgetting our cutlery. The duck while really crispy was really lacking flavour. The pancakes were pleasantly crispy on the edges but had a strong egg flavour which didn't suit Peking duck. I think Simon would be a little disappointed.

Ok Peking duck but then again there is no rral competition in Melbourne. I have had apekj g duck in China World Hotel Beijing, so thats my benchmark.

Cheap. You get what you pay for. What’s the point of booking when they don’t request the people in the first session to leave on time.

Ordered Peking Duck with option 2 (meat with noodles). Solid all round, duck a little dry but good overall. Pancakes, sauce, noodles and soup all solid, not the best or amazing, but a good consistent meal.

This place never disappoints. We always get a couple of ducks to share between three or four of us and enjoy pancakes, traditional house made noodles and soup. As far as value for money is concwrned it's right up there with the best Melbourne's East has to offer.

This restaurant has the worst Chinese food I have ever had in Melbourne. The signature Peking duck is tough and not authentic. It looks more like a chicken than duck, which means they are not using the traditional way to make it. Other dishes are even worse. Lots of things are overcooked, burned or tasteless.

You can't even imagine how poor the service is until you get there by yourself. Don't ever ask a question or make a comment to anyone there. You will get a fuxking response.

Excellent Peking ducks and super thin pancakes. Not fatty. Must book or be disappointed. Wait staff can be more receptive and maybe cheerful. Restaurant looked tired. Needs refurbishment.

Rubbish food and rubbish service. Never come back again! Nothing is suitable for the 4.2point rating. Guys don’t go there, it is fake! All the food is poor, so haven’t take photo.

This is the best peiking duck we have ever had. The most amazing dining experience. Wonderful staff. They took care of storing and serving our birthday cake with no trouble at all. It's a set menu so you can leave it to the kitchen and just focus on enjoying dinner with friends. I can't wait to come back again.

Not as good as it used to be. I have dined here a number of times over the years. It was usually always good service, and the food was nice. Last visit the service was not great, young waitresses not well presented and seemed like they could not be bothered. Food was ok, but dishes came out at random times, and one dish was forgotten. Probably won't go back in a hurry. Shame, as it used to be very good. Still was busy and popular, so we possibly just went on a bad night?
