I booked a wheel chair accessible taxi in the morning for 7: 15pm to take my grandfather to a family dinner less then 30 minutes away from his nursing home. The taxi was 2 hours late, the phone teller was unapologetic and rude. By the time my grandfather got to the restaurant it was closing. We then had to endure the process again despite having already booked the taxi in advance. Another 2+ hour wait, still no sight of the taxi and more appalling customer service. My pop is terminally ill and was feeling exhausted as this point. So we ended up giving up on this taxi company and tried 13cabs instead. They managed to arrive within 7 minutes of the booking. The driver for 13cabs was super helpful with transferring my grandfather and even gave him water when he was feeling ill. Do yourself a favour and save yourself the time and effort, DON’T BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY AND CALL 13CABS!

Taxi never arrived despite booking many days in advance and receiving a confirmation. After submitting a formal complaint was told that despite booking many days in advance and receiving a confirmation, their services is still subject to availability at that time, and we only get to find out about the availability if the taxi never arrives at the confirmed time. NEVER BOOK SILVER TOP TAXIS as their service is non existent. If they have no availability they should have the duty of care to let us know so we can arrange something else, but NO Silver Top taxis thinks it's perfectly okay to just not show up and then it is your problem to sort out according to them. Silver Top taxis should be shut down by the government. The immense pain they caused my family is unforgivable.

Driver not driving safely and even talking dirty to other drivers on the road. Couldn't imagine how such kind of aggressive driver can provide safe and proper service to his passenger.

Most unprofessional service. Man who took my call was rude, aggressive and extremely arrogant. Waited 30mins and called again. Said he was on his way but never showed up. Called again and it went straight to voice mail every time. Called 13CABS who came straight away and were so professional. DO NOT USE SILVER TOP TAXIS! THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! THEY WILL NEVER SHOW UP!
Call an Uber or another taxi service! Don’t waste your time with these idiots.

Rude driver tailgating my car and trying to overtake us at a dangerous spot as I slowed down to signal him that he should keep his distance.
Registration: 0800M.
Reckless driving that endangered us.
In the pictures you see how close he was and how he stopped over the line at the traffic lights despite having enough time to stop before.

Ordered a taxi. Arrived extremely late and the cab driver and the car was a absolute pig style. Wouldn’t allow my dog to travel in your cabs.

Do not use this service at all costs! My wifes elderly parents were dropped from from Melbourne Airport to WestMeadows this morning. What an experience it was! The driver did not assist them and/or help with baggage he just remained in vehicle. He was yelling at nothing all the way to my place, when he dropped them off to my place he drove about 10metres stopped and hurled constant racist abuse he even went as far as racist hand gestures. He Swore every swear word known. Now i just spent 2 hours trying to get through the complaints department to raise this as a serious issue and i'm unable to get through. So i will now be taking this further until i get some sort of response. What a joke of a company.

If I could give 0, I would. Terrible customer service, that told me to call back once I have the address of the hospital. Mind you, it was the main hospital in the city- not just a random place somewhere in a country town!

Shocking. Here in Melbourne on company business. Using Cabcharge card (provided by company). Driver taxi M9098, claims had he known, he would have told me to get into another cab. So arrogant. So rude. Unacceptable approach. Will be lodging an official complaint

The worst.
Only used this service because it was organised by car repairer.
Driver gave me attitude for being late when he arrived early. Poor customer service.kept on beeping horn outside my house. Who does that? Can provide driver number too if you need. This is only way silver top taxi will address complaints. Never again if I can help it. Much prefer Uber.

I use them when I need a taxi. My late brother used to drive for them prior to his killing 43 yrs ago. The drivers have always been courteous towards me. Got a fab driver a few weeks ago named Ali.

Used the app and received an estimated fare. Ended up paying $10 extra because of fees and using the freeway. Driver said Uber does the same. Uber does not do the same. No wonder I prefer to use them.

A whole bunch of their drivers were using the petrol pumps at the BP next to Melbourne Airport as car parking spaces whilst they drank coffee inside. Completely ignoring all the people waiting behind them who needed to fill up. Not a great advertisement for the company!

Booked online at 9am for a maxi at 5pm. 5: 10pm passed, called to find out where it was, apparently my booking was still being allocated to a driver. Ended up calling 13 cabs, got a maxi to us in 5 mins. Should of contacted them first.

We waited for an hour for a maxi we ordered and kept calling the operator and they didn’t seem to be very organised. AT ALL. If you could rate zero stars then that’s what I’d rate it.

Hopeless, made a booking with them the night before for a ride to an important event for us.
The cab did not show up, and when we called to follow up were told we would have to wait for the next available and they didn’t know when that would be. No point booking with these guys ever.
Good old Uber to the rescue, here in 4 minutes.

Absolutley terrible service. After booking maxi taxi driver shows up and declines taking us because we had a couple of boxes with us. After calling the service centre which had absolutely no clue on any landmarks in melb CBD. Switched to uber for a fuss free ride. You are better off walking to your destination than booking from silvertop. Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest i can give

Booked a Maxi taxi. Driver though we were born yesterday and took us on a scenic tour of Melbourne. Argued with us most of the way and the charges us $20 extra just because.
