Shujinko

Decent Japanese Ramen house, but not worth a special trip for though. Reasonable price and nice food, a little small on the pirtion size. For the same price range there are better Japanese resrestaurs with more menu options, more generous portion sizes.

Wow, I must say this place is a hidden gem. I love Japan, and this place brings you the great ramen of the north to Melbourne. Ramen, takoyaki balls and some light Kirin beer is my go to meal. Would recommend after a late night fiesta in the CBD and great after some heavy drinking with friends!

Busy Friday evening, but we were seated soon enough and with polite service. Not sure if it's because it's rather hectic evening, but the ramen was hard (too firm for our preference), the broth was slightly under-flavoured, and the chashu was way too tough. Gyoza was decent though.

Where do you go after midnight when you get foodie cravings? A 24 hour ramen bar of course! People were waiting in line at midnight to get into this restaurant. I had the shujinko tonkotsu ramen with a side of karaage. Overall the broth was ok. Not as much pork flavour and creaminess as some of its competitors. Plus points for their grilled pork slices, friendly staff and atmosphere. Look out for their manga character display by the bar. A nice place to go after midnight.

Really nice atmosphere here, definitely reminds me of days and ramen places back in Japan. Ramen tasted nice, they even do their own sake, ordered the citrus one which was quite nice. Definitely would come again.

Tried to make and order to pick up. Apparently you can only order pay person and doesnt have an option to in advance. I have eaten there before and it was below average anyway. Cant wait for it to close and something decent replaces it

Might be a line out the door and on the street but they have a fast turn over in this cozy little place. Absolutely delectable ramen and delicious Japanese nibbles available 24 hours, doesn't get much better.

It was okay with my boyfriend's salad and his vegetarian ramen.
Mine was rice dish which was very cold so I had to ask them to microwave them
I couldn't finish the dish so took it home. But After the dinner, I had a bad stomachache
Never gonna go back to this place.

Been here a few times. I normally have the side dishes because I love them.
Food is great from my friends feedback for the food I cannot eat as I'm seafood allergic.
Service is fast but be prepared as sometimes it can be quite busy.

Every time here is a new great experience. They have great food, especially at night time. And if you come around soheong (sorry for the misspell) then your night will be even better

I was excited to visit this place with all the reviews being amazing. I got the recommended shujinko ramen with some gyoza and hot green tea on the side ($24)

The good stuff:
I didn't have to wait for a seat as the sign at the front suggested.
The service was great.
The order came out quickly.
Gyoza was amazing.
The noodles had the right firmness.
The chashu pork and other toppings were great.

The not so good stuff:
The tonkotsu broth! It tasted buttery (a bit sweet almost) which is the first I've experienced eating ramen.the broth is the soul of the dish and it was disappointing (for me) hence the 3 stars.

Meh. Stock is very garlicky. A satisfying late night feed after drinks but I wouldn’t recommend for proper meal. Noodles aren’t fresh. Hakata still this best in town.

Super-fast service and run in a traditional Japanese style Ramen Den. Ramen was OK and the fried chicken pieces are awesome. I seated next to the kitchen bin when busy. Open super late for those times when you should really just home, but you need a feed before kicking on some more.

Really great ramen. Not generally a fan of pork but everythjng here tasted delicious. Food came quickly, service was good and had a nice vibe to the place as well. Can be fairly crowded and tables are right next to one another, but if you love ramen this is a great place to visit. Highly recommend for people to visit.

The Shujinko Ramen is delicious. Usually comes with egg (tamago) but I prefer to not have it. The tsukemen wasn't as delicious as other places, but I'd go back for the ramen.

Delicious food, fast and very good service, open 24 hours ans prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Will be coming here again very soon.

Legit best ramen! Staff are nice, clean, nice atmosphere. We tried takoyaki which is the best takoyaki in town! We also tried Signature, Karuchuki and Black ramen. All of those are very good this is 10/10!

Went here because my siblings all rave about it. It made me realise that I am.not a massive fan of Ramen. Though their dumplings were amazing and the pork belly in my Ramen was to die for. If you like Ramen you will love this place. It is pretty small so you might have to put your name down and wait outside for a table to become free.
