Shavans @ Pakenham Indian Restaurant reviews
77Best curry in Melbourne! I'm from the UK and Shavans was by far one of the closest to my beloved home Indian restaurant experiences. Excellent food, service and prices. Waiters were very well presented and very friendly and polite. Loved the candy fennel seeds after dinner. Went a few months ago before lockdown. Wish we lived closer so we could get takeaways now.
Service is terrible. When requested for some onions on side, they tried to sale their Garden Salad dish which didn't have much onions but stuff which we didn't want.
Worst Indian I've ever eaten. Garlic naans weren't buttery, very dry. Lamb korma was bland and tasteless, same as the butter chicken, ordered a prawn vindaloo and i have no clue what it was, because it certainly wasn't a vindaloo. I only got a couple of prawns or should i say shrimps. Samosa's were dry. Waste of $105 thats for sure, the raita and mint yougurt werent even normal.
I've been to all the Indian take outs in Pakenham and this one is my favourite. They don't just fill the container with gravy and a few pieces of meat, good portions. The curries taste great! Although the meat could be cooked a bit softer but I'm not complaining, keep up the good work!
Closes @ 10.30 as per website. Tried to place an order and was told they closed a 9.30
GO TO THE CHILLI LOUNGE INSTEAD.
Im usually picky with my Indian food but decided to give Shavan's a go. Got a takeaway lamb Rogan Josh and cheese Naan. The Rogan Josh was great. Awesome flavor, medium hot, very thick sauce and generous amount of meat. The cheese Naan was fluffy and cheesy. The only thing I'd ask for is the lamb to be a spot softer but other than that it's the best Indian takeout I've had in Pakenham. I also had leftovers for the next day so generous portions.
By far the best Indian food we’ve tasted. We’ve been coming here for quite some time now. Highly recommend.
Best Indian hands down I have had in the south east suburbs. If you haven’t eaten at this place go and do yourselves a favour!
This place always good. Foodz are super tasty. If you love spicy lamb or chicken great place to go.
The food here is absolutely fantastic. We always order take away, and can't rate this place any higher

Visited this restaurant for the 1st time. Food was good, staff were amazing. Prices and qantity were wort itambiance was worth it. Over all good customer service. Will definitely visit again ️️
Disappointing food, we ordered chicken dilbahar which was pretty much chicken in sugar syrup and some curry powder.
My Fiancé and I discovered this place 18 months ago after a recommendation from a friend. We come once every couple of months now. Great food, great friendly service, and it’s never busy so the atmosphere is calm and nice.
Highly recommend!
