Burger with the lot for $ 12 are uou kidding me. The pattie was disgusting, dont know what herbs were in there but totally ruined it. Tomato i could hardly find it. Had better.

Worst fish&chips ever tried.
Nothing fresh, potato cakes were black and tasted old. Low quality food paid $68, we all got sick and vomited.

Having failed to read the recent reviews before going here i probably deserve what I got! I'm not sure if this joint has been taken over recently as I went here a couple of years back and it was spot on, also most of the negative comments are recent. On this occasion we got a couples pack which was 2 fish, chips, 2 potato cakes and 2 dimmies. Also got 4 sausage in batter and 4 drinks which came to $55, pretty standard pricing. The fish was small and tasteless and the chips overcooked and dry. The potato cakes were also tasteless and the dimmies overcooked. The sausage in batter was awful with most of the batter having fell off during the cooking process. The bad experience was topped off by the ocean of salt dumped over everything which left my lips stinging hours later. Sadly the only nice thing about the whole thing were the drinks. Would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Terrible. My order was completely wrong. Food is also terrible. Recommend finding anything else around instead of this place

Flakes were not very tasty and the chips were dry and had no taste. I wasn't expecting much anyway as most tourist destinations charge exorbitant prices for little quality.

Disgraceful. I ordered $60 worth of fish & chips - which in itself is an absolute ripoff - but to then try & charge $3.20 for tartare sauce! Me: “Don’t you provide tartare sauce? ” Shop: “No”. Don’t bother. Go down the road and save your money.

The chips and potato cakes were stale and grey.
You should be ashamed selling garbage like that.

Chips and Flake were nice. The potato cakes were unacceptable, grey on the inside, mushy, yet harder in the middle. They also forgot an item on the order. Probably won’t go back.

I ordered a burger an I was the only customer, they still managed to burn the burger and overcooked it.

Have been going there a l9ng time but last week the price of a piece of flake had increased to $7.20.no way will I be paying that in a fish and chip shop ever.

The shop is always clean! The fish and chips here are fantastic！And I like the vanilla slice very much!

This was our second meal from here and we really enjoyed it. The fish is super fresh and perfectly cooked.

The calamari was greasy, and the prices a bit high. Very big vanilla slice inside. Didn't look too appealing.

This is the best shop ever love the food if i was hungry i would pay to get everything on the menu.
I really recommend getting this its the best! Ever. I love the 11 year old boy being the cashier he is the best with fast service

Oily chips, batter fell off of all the calamari and the dogs split the majority of my burger. Look elsewhere.

We chose this place because they have filleted fish which they cook up on demand. Generous chips.

Good feed, extremely fast service, flake was super fresh and tasty, chips were crunchy with just the right amount of salt. The potato cakes were a little dry almost powdery but still crunchy on the outside so still not to bad. Overall a nice spot in Rye to grab some fish and chips if your passing through or staying nearby. Would definitely recommend.

The food there is too oily & some of the pieces of food was bitter because the cooking oil needs be changed. I wouldn't go there again.

Serving portions was massive for the amount you pay and possibly the best vanilla slice i have ever tried, that as well was a massive portion, wished i lived close to here, unfortunately live 2 hours away

Definitely worth going here if you plan on going for a holiday trip to here, right in front of the beach
