Seven Seeds Coffee Roasters reviews
67Guaranteed a great, well made coffee every single time, it's my go-to whenever I'm in the area.the staff are so friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.my only very small criticism is the chairs are quite hard, which becomes a bit uncomfortable if seated for a little while!
Decent food and great coffee. Highly recommend as Melbourne must see brunch location. Weekday visits isn’t a bad choice to drop in. Would definitely visit again.
Sorry to write this but I had the worst meal I have ever had I had 2 fried eggs on toast with Avocado the eggs were almost raw the Avocado was very very cold toast was so hard I could hardly cut it. Then to add insult cost $24 a huge cost for 1 cold coffee and one bad meal. Also pepper and salt containers were very dirty. I did not even want to give 1 star Thank You
One of the best coffee I’ve had in Melbourne, but food and service were average considering their price. Some of the staff wasn’t rude but I definitely won’t say they are friendly especially those in the late arvo.
7 Seeds is close to the hospitals, unis and student accommodation, not far from the markets and the tram stop.
It’s located in a big barn of a place, so tables are very well spaced, and there‘s some limited outdoor seating in a relatively quiet street.
Coffee is good, and amongst the café staples, there’s a good range of cakes and salads.
I've been to this cafe numerous times now. I love the industrial design and ambiance. The coffee is great and consistent and the food is wholesome with a very good seasonal variety!
I stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday. It seemed busy but we were seated straight away. Menu was diverse, it was hard to pick one thing. So I had the Brussel sprouts and the chilli scramble. It was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I will be a regular for sure.
Seven seeds does such great coffee. I’ve always enjoyed tasting it at brother baba budan in the CBD and was excited to go to their Carlton location to eat and drink more coffee. It didn’t disappoint. Large space in an old warehouse with friendly staff and plenty of tables. The coffee was great and the waffle Benedict was amazing. The cheddar and cheese flavours of the waffle stood out but were complimented well with the chipotle hollandaise. So good, will be back!
Definitely overrated. Coffee and waffle benedict were ok. But avoid ordering the duck and hot choco if you can. The duck is too salty which is made worse by the bitter oily salad. The hot choco is a totally nightmare (at least purchase some good quality choco sauce). With the 20% holiday surcharge, we do expect them not to be so forgetful or neglect when we want to order. With this location, rating and pricing, they could have done better.
Great atmosphere amazing customer service and most importantly good food. It was easy to order good quality food, the staff were nice and recommended their favourite meals and were genuine about it they recommended meals with fruits and vegetables that were in season. Overall a really good experience.
Good pub just near the uni.
Went there because it was advertised as one of the best Eggs benedict in the city.honestly.nothing special in my opinion. BUT.it is a good try to put them in a waffle and no doubt, with prosciuto. I LOVE Manchego but I didn't perceived it such a good product in the dish.
Near the Victoria Market. Good price.
Favourite coffee shop in Melbourne. Hidden amongst an industrial dead zone in the CBD, it’s walking distance from Melb uni and always has excellent tunes, a bustling atmosphere and the same great coffee every time. They also get a heap of seasonal beans so I rarely run out of options. Seriously. Good.
Lovely local cafe, an institution
Good for getting some work done and meetings
They serve long blacks with sparkling water as it should be done
Dreadful.there unfortunately is no other way to put it, I met the owners at the opening some years ago so I decided to go and do some work for couple of hours and have breakfast. The music was very loud and I heard some other customers complain but the waitress wasn't helpful at all, I initially ignored it and did my work ordered coffee and breakfast, then the music became unbearable when the next track started with constant swearing and cursing I asked to be moved away from the speaker and the waitress said I can't promise anything you can follow me but otherwise I'll have to bring you back hear, when we got to then next spot the music volume and "artist" were the same so I asked to be move out side instead, she said take your own stuff out there as if it was a huge imposition. She was incredibly dismissive and passive aggressive, so I cancelled my food paid for my coffee (for which they struggled to find change for) and left. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK HERE, STAFF ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Fantastic coffee and meals. The pulled pork on the waffle benny was amazing. Right near Melbourne Uni, no surprise this place is popular.
Gorgeous atmosphere, great background tunes. It’s the perfect cafe for solo productivity in style. Helpful staff.
Oat milk mocha was good but wasn’t quite hot enough as there was heaps of tiny, gritty un-melted chocolate bits at the bottom, tasting like hard little flecks of sediment that I initially thought were coffee grounds. It was also quite watery for some reason, which I never find with oat milk coffees from other cafes.
Great coffee, friendly but polite staff, good atmosphere for weekend breakfast. We've been here many times, the Chilli Scram used to be excellent, after a change (in recipe / chef / overall menu?) the exquisite taste is lacking. Hope they can reconsider their menu, for the faithful customers.
The menu is extremely limited, we were tempted to walk out upon seeing the menu. However we decided to stay and try the egg waffle. It was nice but a tad heavy. Service was unfriendly. There are nicer cafes in Carlton so I would not come back.
Nice coffee, and service.
But I feel it's overrated. I ordered Hunters Breakfast for $26, good flavours but way too oily and felt like, it was lacking a piece of bread to equalize that oil.
We gave this a shot after initially realising that the cafe we were going to was closed for the day and we could have not been luckier because this place is awesome! I love this industrial style venue that has been divided in segments to reduce the volume and give a feeling of seclusion for each space. Food and coffee 10/10.
