Serotonin Eatery reviews
76A future-classic of the Melbourne brunch scene. The vegan menu is creative enough to provide delicious options for even the strictest carnivore. The tacos are particularly good, as is the pizza.
Beautiful, tasty plant based meals. The whole experience was amazing.
We tried the daily special which was a jackfruit and mango ceviche as well as the love bomb.
The jackfruit and mango ceviche was amazing. So fresh and tasty, the jackfruit made a great substitute for white fish. The balance of sweet, sour and just the hint of spicy was perfect. Really amazing summer dish.
The love bomb was also absolutely delish. The homemade peanut sauce brought everything together. Usually not a huge fan of tempeh but this was done very nicely
Service was friendly and with a smile, cannot wait to try their other dishes.
Nice coffee. Good dog friendly outside area under umbrellas. Cool swings as seats, inside and out. I just feel like this place is trying a little too hard - quirky menus, renamed drinks (a cappucino is a happycino) and more.one quirk would be enough for me!
So I finally got a chance to visit and devour the positivity out of these pancakes
A big shout out to Gabriele for his delightful attentiveness!
A genuinely passionate soul whom promptly greeted and seated me, just after 2pm on a Saturday afternoon.
After a short impatient wait, I got to thoroughly enjoy my "Positive Pancakes" (with additional PB.because PB makes everything superior).
Will definitely be back to try more goodness, as eyeballing others plates was near torture.
Great selection of health specific food with the breakdowns detailed in the menu. Love the peanut butter shake:) Great ambience to hang out with friends in the morning or just bring a book to read or laptop to work in the partially shaded courtyard with swings!
Have to rate this as the best cafe experience I've ever had. If I could give more stars I would! Food is not just amazing but designed to make you literally feel amazing. It is expensive but in my humble opinion, worth every cent. I leave here actually feeling better and the whole show is just superb. Well done guys. Not a single negative about this. Keep it up
A beautiful space with extremely delicious food made and served with love The team are always astoundingly kind and accommodating. Easily my favourite place in Melbourne ️
Serotonin Eatery is an absolute delight. The staff are warm, professional and friendly with great customer service. I love the menu because I have special dietary needs and can readily dine here, and feel I had a delicious and scrumptious meal.
We waited 30 minutes for a table (I know, I know, pretty standard for a Saturday). The problem started when the table we had allocated was under full sun. I'm not kidding, we couldn't even handle the cutlery because of how hot it got.
It was also next to the back door, so one of us had to be standing every time another customer wanted to leave. We asked to change tables if another became available prior to our food arriving, but our waiter told us that he "didn't want to get our hopes up, as there was a waitlist". However, the table next to us (under the shade) freed up before we got our food, and stayed empty while we were there.
It wasn't only a matter of being under the sun. The service was pretty bad, they seemed to be quite understaffed. For example we had to ask for more water several times (we're under the sun for Christ's sake!). We never got asked if we wanted more drinks after we finished our first coffees. We had pretty high hopes for the food, yet everything we ordered was average at best. Saying that everything was missing seasoning (or plain salt) is an understatement.
We've been here several times, and up until today, we had had a very good time. They need to pick up their game if they plan to stay in business for much longer. Also, please get more staff!
Great atmosphere, high quality drinks - but food not worth the price (well plated, but flavours are nothing special).
The food and drinks here are always amazing. I don’t mind paying a little extra here because I know the ingredients are good quality and the ethos of the business is admirable. Love!
I was excited to eat here, I just thought the food was so underwhelming. Maybe I got a bad dish but I wouldn't say this is one of Melbourne's best cafe's.
A vegetarian cafe with food that'll satisfy a meat lover. A quintessential 'Melbourne' experience.
We love Serotonin, this place makes food that makes you happy.
The ambiance at the cafe is magical, soundtrack is on point. The service is also wonderfully jolly, so you'll struggle to have a bad time here.
The food is always a highlight.
The menu regularly changes so go try whatever appeals to you.
I had the protein tacos (vegetarian.and I added eggs) - delightful. I was so excited about the food I forgot to take photos.
Oh - and unlimited sparkling water.
Highly recommended.
Without doubt one of Melbourne’s best vegan restaurants. I might be wrong but I believe theyre a plant based vegan cafe. If you’re looking for quality, this place is for you. I’ve never had a bad experience attending this cafe in the 5 years now that I have been visiting. I only wish they were open after 3pm most days (including weekends) as they do get very busy.
Great service, quirky concepts and unique setup. Food is nice, portion sizes aren’t huge, over priced.
Avoid peak times so you get a table. We’ve been 4 times and made sure we get in early!
Cacao / peanut butter / coconut lattes are amazing.
Went here for brunch and the food was very fresh and delicious. The waitresses were also very helpful in helping us pick our foods for the first time. The tea was also very good as well. The environment is especially refreshing because we got to sit on the swings which made it a very new and exciting experience. After paying for our meals we were given little serotonin stickers which gave it a very nice touch.
