45Second Home is just that. Owen and the whole personable + friendly team have one slick operation. It is truly stunning to observe + experience. The food - absolutely Stellar!
Great cafe, good service, nice menu variety & selections. The ambience is lovely, nice & cozy. The only thing is parking space is limited & not many. Have to find off the street parking which is not easy.
Lovely place to have a coffee and some breaky. Service is sometimes slow, but the taste of the food makes you forget that!
We had the Mushroom and Potato Pie, Gnocchi with Lamb and Bagel with chicken and avocado. All 3 were outstanding dishes. The pie crust was so crumbly and yummm. The salad with the pie was amazing. I had no plans of eating the salad but one bite and I had to finish it all. The Gnochhu was ohhhh so awesome.so soft and melt in your mouth.so light.by far the best I have tasted.lamb was so tender and amazing with the Gnocchi.for our daughter we ordered the bagel with chicken n avocado with chips on the side. The surprise was the pickled vegetables or was it vegetable pickle that came with the dish, whichever it was it was polished in 10sec flat. Our daughter loved the chicken so much that she ignored the bagel and the chips. Desserts was the vegan chocolate and cherry cake slice and the lemon cup cake. Definitely worth the wait. We have to visit again for the breakfast menu and the coffee which looked so enticing.
Straw that broken the camel's back. Beautiful setting, great service and overall great food however the Reuben Bagel was just bad. A true Reuben should be overloaded and show off the wonderful pastrami. But here the pastrami was underseasoned and far between. The pickle should be kept whole and on the side. This felt like a cheesey sauerkraut bagel. The bagel was nice with a chewy centre but could be toasted a bit more. This item should just be removed.
Sorry to be pedantic but as a Canadian and seeing the world's Montreal mentioned in the menu next to this item means it needs to be put under strict scrutiny.
That being said the coffee and the soup of the day (orange and carrot) was delightful
