Sassafras Cafe

Sassafras is a beautiful place to visit and this Cafe is ideal to stop at for a cuppa and snack. The staff are very friendly too

Great Cafe, has a really great old school feel, with photos of the surrounding area. Can recommend the Sassy burger and the Chicken burger. Also great to grab a window seat and enjoy the town with some Devonshire tea and Scones.

It was a crazy long queens birthday weekend. Ms Marples had a 2hr wait which was ridiculous. So the teahouse recommended this cafe. They said this place was better. They had huge homemade scones fresh out of the oven. Homemade BlackBerry jam & fresh cream. Inside was rustic & welcoming as was the owner & staff who made sure everything was to our satisfaction. So no waiting & we had a great afternoon tea. We will be coming back again.

My Coffee was far too milky
My eggs florentine was nice but I asked for my extra bacon to be added into the muffin to which the chef didn't do which was disappointing. My girlfriend really enjoyed her house made baked beans though.
Service was really friendly and accommodating
Wait time on the food and coffee was nice.
Food was priced fairly.
The atmosphere and decor wasn't the best but didn't ruin the experience.

Great cafe. Staff very friendly, attentive and quick. Food was delicious. We have been many times before and will continue to support them. Don't be put off by the outside appearance, it doesn't look miss marples but the food is better and you don't have to queue
