Saporito Taquito reviews
46Everything we had was amazing. But the chicken tostadas's really made the night! If you don't try them, you will die without knowing the meaning of life.
Watch out folks - their system automatically adds a tip but you don't see it on the receipt and then you scan your card on Square and don't see the total!
I just happened to catch it out of the corner of my eye - 25% of the entire total including on the weekend surcharge! Too bad, because the food was terrific but honestly I felt scammed!
Fun and authentic experience! Loved the fish and pork tacos, happy we made it for Taco Tuesday offer, go 3 for 2 in each order! Also enjoyed the awesome margaritas! The friendly and welcoming service and nature of the team made it a complete dinning experience!
Went here for dinner with a few freinds. Staff were terrible. They forgot my meal, reminded them and they forgot it a second time. The portion sizes were extremely small for the prices too. Food tasted decent overall but definatly would not return.
I gave it two stars because of the nachos. It was OK. The beef tacos and rest of our meal was bone dry. What ever my husband had was over cooked and tastless and served with wilted lettus and BO smelling onion. We waited an hour for food, while others around us arrived later and got food straight away. I hate giving reviews like this, but I wish I'd seen one like this and saved my money by not going. We all feel a little blah from eating here tonight.
I did let them know how the meal was and they were very apologetic, so perhaps it might be different for you.
Taco Tuesday was excellent. Extra bonus taco on Tuesdays and the server originally said it had to be all the same but as I was dining on my own, they were happy to accommodate and allow me to have a mixed assortment. All very tasty, would recommend
Saporito Taquito is one of the best. Great food and lovely staff. My family had a memorable time here last night. We all strongly recommend it. Thanks Saporito team
We went to this place based on the reviews and past experience but were sadly disappointed. The margarita was frozen, beef in the taco was so chewy I nearly choked, and the fish tacos had cranberries in them!? Apart from that we waited for so long and didn’t get our starter and the rest of the order.
Got the breakfast special which is an egg and bacon roll with a small coffee. When I asked if I could have the egg and bacon roll without sauce (because I hate sauce) I was told that I couldn’t and that it would be too dry without sauce (I realise this, but this is my preference and I’m the paying customer). The bacon was limp, the roll was cheap and bland, and the sauce (that I didn’t want) ruined the whole thing. I had one bite and disposed of the rest. If you’re after a cheap breakfast, go for it, but otherwise wouldn’t rate it at all and won’t be returning.
The share/tapas style tacos were great. You have veggie options too. The margaritas probably needed a bit more booze though. But this is a minor complaint though.
If I could rate zero starts I would.
Bad service, amateur staff, ridiculous food portions and severely overpriced.
This review is based on several occasions and observations from the tables near us.
Please make you self a favour and go to Hotel Jesus or Bodega Underground.
Wildly overpriced. Fish tacos were good. Pork tacos were meh. I would have felt ok if it was half the price, so I could have ordered twice as much.
I’ve been a customer for so long and had nothing but praise for the service and quality of food. Have always referred this place to all my friends and family. However, after tonight’s visit, i was disappointed to know that they’re changing the menu. They’ve removed two of their better items off the menu Veg Tamales, Enchiladas and they’ve replaced Chicken Tostadas with shredded lettuce with garden salad which was pretty dry and bland. Also, the portion of food served appeared to be less as compared to what we used to get. The majority of food I had was still nice, however, it’s a shame that they’re making changes to the authenticity of this place.
The food was fantastic and the service was great!
The fish taco, the enchiladas, the guacamole, the cochinita taco, all the food was amazing and tasty. Favourite Mexican restaurant in the city!
Took an hour and a half to receive food we ordered, received things we didn't order, and missed things we did but still showed up on bill, thankfully they refunded the items we paid for that we didn't receive.because the service took so long we had to reschedule other things we had planned for the night and cancel another reservation.
The wait staff were however hardworking and friendly
A variation on your typical mexican favourites. The meniu is not extensive but what we tried was very good. Portions are smaller but priced modestly so it allows to sample more of the menu. Overall worth a visit.
Food was good and it's more for sharing! I really liked the flan chocolate cake! Service was nice too:)
Just another Mexican restaurant but not for family or kids. Staff are friendly, slow service. No kids menu to start with and had our 2 year old running around the table/restaurant as was bored and being extremely difficult but we were behind him everywhere which we know is not ideal in a small restaurant but the way one of male staff communicated to us was pethatic. "This is the last time your kid is running here". I hope he is not the owner! We had a table of 10 spending $500+ and untill that were having good night (because of company not food or drinks) but that experience totally ruined it for us and we just got up and left never to return and same goes for our friends.
3.5 stars
Nice food, friendly and helpful staff.
Ordered a lime margarita and got a frozen margarita, very sweet with no taste of tequila
We started to go to this café a few years ago on Sunday morning as our kid is having a class nearby. Most of the stuff are friendly and the food is good. But today we had a very unpleasant experience. We arrived at 8: 40 this morning and asked for a table for 5 people. The waitress seated us and didn’t mention anything about the table was reserved for 10am. At about 9: 30am, the waitress just came by and informed us we had to leave by 10am or sit at another table outside. We asked if we can stay a little longer as our kids’ class ended at 10: 30am. She said she needs to talk to her manager. After a while, the manager came and said we can only have one and a half hour in the café. We had been there so many times and never heard that before. If we were told beforehand the table is reserved, we can choose other tables or other places. They just came right to our table to tell us we should leave, not even an apology. The manager said he was being nice to us with a very bad attitude which is sounded so rude. We’ll never ever go to this café again!
