Sapa Hills Restaurant reviews
79Absolutely stunning food. Great flavour. Brilliant service. Value for money. Will be back for sure!
Our favourite place. Fresh food. Great reliable eatery for us. It's our go to when we want to play it safe.
While their pho may be on the slightly pricier side in comparison with other pho in Footscray, the dine-in atmosphere and quality ingredients that are used speak for themselves. Their sliced chicken pho for instance is generously portioned and served with sliced lean meat and flavoursome broth. The staff are friendly and the restaurant has a modern feel with plenty of seatings for a family or group meal.
Delicious Vietnamese food. The fried chicken ribs is a must try, not only the fried skin is delicious with some veggies on top and garlic seasoning but even the meat inside has a rich flavour, you can tell and see by the colour of the meat that's been marinated perfectly. The Sapa special fried rice is amazing too.
Enjoyed the food, the service (quick service and staff busy.) Today I was in a group of 4 so we ordered 5 main courses and shared them. Each course came out promptly one at a time. Place is busy, a little noisy, just great. I am price aware and Sapa Hills is good for that too
The food was absolutely delicious but the service was terrible. I called to make a booking and the lady denied me and said I could not book. Then when I arrived a gentleman asked if I had a booking and he said I could not be seated and then I said I was told that you don’t do bookings then I had to wait over 50 minutes to be seated. Service was terrible but food was exquisite.
Lots of vietnamese cuisine dishes to choose from accompanied with fresh and tasty salads which balance well the dining experience.
A tasting experience not to be missed if you don't mind a busy and lively ambiance and when lifting of restrictions allow.
Nothing too special, but great ambience and fast service. Not exactly authentic, slightly fusion if that's what you like
A small busy restaurant for light heated dining. The food is excellent. I've had both the Pork Belly & the 10hr Beef Ribs both are amazing. If you are looking for a Cocktail I highly recommend the Footscray market as a tasty & refreshing beverage.
Everything we ordered was absolutely beutiful.
I highly recommend Sapa Hills Restaurant in Hopkins Street Footscray.
When you have people lining up outside to get in while waiting in the cold and rain is a good testament of the food.
The food here was excellent! A bit more pricier than other Vietnamese places nearby but the food was well worth it. We were seated in Sapa Sister next door as Sapa Hills was full, however the food all comes from the Sapa Hills restaurant.
Prawn spring rolls, ginger and prawn dumplings, Sapa special fried rice, fried squid and coconut juice was delicious. The fried squid was cooked perfectly, so soft and tender to eat and the balance of salt and pepper with the green chilli lime sauce worked perfectly together. The ginger and prawn dumplings are the best I’ve had in Melbourne so far. Love ️ love ️ love ️ I can’t wait to go back.
Our two dinners here were perfect (ambience, food, services). Hanoi styled spring rolls, seafood salad, (beef/chicken) PHO were really delicious like you expect in 5 star hotel! If I well remember, no free tea but their BAR made very good drinks. If in Preston we most prefer Phuong Nam Restaurant, in Footscray, we highly recommend Sapa Hills as trully authentic Vietnamese option.
Busy lunch time yet they managed to squeeze us in.
Food was excellent, lots of choice, came out hot and tasty. Recommend the chicken ribs.
It's one of those restaurant I never want to stop visiting. From traditional Pho to modernized Vietnamese dishes, this restaurant has it all. The serving is very good size and each dish has a distinctive taste.
They also have amazing cocktails. Yuzu sour is one of my favourite one ever.
Except the long wait time, there's nothing at fault with this place.
One of our favourite places to visit with friends.
Light hearted, friendly and fresh food. What more could you ask for.
Sapa Sister almost next door, same place.
Both have a great Asian trendy street feel.
Eclectic, with plants, lighting, pressed metal plaques and neon sign with a great selection of camp music in the background
Really disappointing. Seems to have been"trendied" up and is more of a bar now with just a doubled sided laminated menu instead of the extensive one it used to have.
The beef pho was awesome! The broth is very flavourful. Would highly recommend this restaurant:)
Dined at Sapa Sister Footscray. Food was great BUT wasted 20mins of my night.
They chased us up saying they have overcharged us and needs to do a refund, went back and cashier can’t figure the payment out took 15mins to decide and call his manager from the main Sapa. She then refunded me the whole amount I have initially paid and
then CHARGED ME ANOTHER BILL MORE THAN I HAVE PAID FIRST.
So, they actually undercharged us not overcharged.
I have asked at least twice if I had to pay them more as I did felt that we paid less than expected. But they assured me NO, I am getting a refund.
I have no problem paying more but a process that could have taken only max 5 mins took 20mins!
Now, they have taken $140 and $170 off me! It’s Friday night, then weekend, and public holiday. NOW I have to wait at least 2-3 business days to get the refund back WHEN THEY COULD HAVE JUST EASILY ASKED ME TO PAY $30 more.
No sorry for inconvenience. I am left to use my savings for the weekend as they’ve taken all my splurge money.
Good food but ruined my Friday night and whole weekend. Total BS.
NEVER COMING BACK.
Very good indeed; totally recommended.
Dish size is decent, on the large side, a bit on the pricy side but completely worth it.
Amazing food, suggest stick to Vietnamese classics instead of some of the Chinese inspired dishes.
Best spring rolls (sapa signature) in Melbourne and truly authentic to North Vietnamese cuisine.
