Sami Fish & Chip Shop

As always the food was delicious and the staff so friendly, we have been going toSami, s for our fish and chips for years, but last night was a first for our twin grand daughters we sat out side and enjoyed our yummy food, the lovely lady who served us brought out free apple juice drinks for the girls. We will always appreciate the service and yummy fish and chips.
Highly recommend, brilliant.

Just driving by as I’m between jobs, absolutely did not regret stopping by! Friendly staff who were so unbelievably polite and approachable, grouse potato cakes and I even got a bonus one! If i’m the area and craving something I’d come back to try the rest of the menu for sure!

Sami's Fish and Chip is the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to! The service is friendly, and the food is simply delicious. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and felt welcomed.

The staff at Sami's are incredibly friendly and helpful. They were happy to explain the menu to me and offer suggestions for what to try. They also took the time to ensure that my order was just right, which made me feel valued as a customer.

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was amazing! The fish was perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside, while the chips were hot and fluffy on the inside. The portion size was generous, and the prices were very reasonable.

Overall, I would highly recommend Sami's Fish and Chip to anyone looking for a delicious meal and excellent service. This is a gem of a restaurant that deserves all the praise it gets. Keep up the great work, Sami's team!

Great service and great food at an amazing price, the staff was really helpful and friendly and food was nothing short of amazing, I would 100% recommend to anyone by far the best fish and chip shop in Melbourne

Disappointing. Ordered a burger with the lot and beetroot. The beetroot wasn't included unfortunately and for me that makes the burger.
Staff were courteous.

Nov 22: Samis changed management in the last few months and the quality of food has really gone downhill - burgers are nearly inedible now (honestly - we're not picky but they're really not good at all). The team are lovely and friendly, but we won't be regular customers anymore due to the lower quality of food. Such a shame!

Service and food seems to have deteriorated. Ordered grilled fish fillet on Friday (gluten free) only to find it was battered and on Saturday ordered a gluten free American burger. Bun was stale, patty was really salty and was swimming in tomato sauce. One of worst burgers I have ever had.

Inflation has run rampant seemingly! $1.80 for Potato Cakes and Dim Sims Holy cow. Most F&C shops $1.20 or $1.30. And they were party potato cakes, party as in party pies, you know, half the size of normal ones. Such a shame, they were good, but at 50% higher price and 50% less content, it's a no from me.

Proper fish and chips. Unfortunately the burger patties have changed and they've lost the home made edge.

So disappointed in our meal tonight.
The chips were soggy and some tasted uncooked. The potato cakes which I always look forward to were swimming in a very unpleasant tasting oil. So bad. The grilled whiting was the only thing that we ate.
We won’t ge going back. The new management needs to improve their cooking skills.

Samis’ has been our favourite Friday eatery for the past 5 years and the last few times we’ve been there we’ve noticed some inconsistencies. The new owners are lovely and very welcoming, however, the food quality has been up and down. Tonight it seems a different oil used and amount has increased which leaves a lingering greasy taste and soggy food. We love this local and will keep coming back but hope the new management can adopt the process and methods of the previous owners.

The Pom's think they got F&C's sorted, they've got nothing on Sami's. Best anywhere

There seems to be lovely new owners, unfortunately the food isn’t the same.
I found the food very greasy & oily, in particular the chips & potatoe cakes. Very oily to handle & left unpleasant taste in mouth. Hopefully they can get back on track.

Love to support small fish and chip shops rather than fast food chains but this shop takes advantage of its location and over priced. $15 for fish chips and a can not bad as big size and good fish BUT $19.50 FOR Grilled Fish and a can is a joke. $4 extra to flip your piece of fish on the grill NO WAY.was meant to be a salad in the price but lady took that off the board but never off the price. Support other shops and help them survive, who dont take advantage of you! The lady even knew she hadnt altered the price since a girl pointed it out. Great food but look after your customers or they go elsewhere. Wont go back!

Sami's fish and chips has really good food and the customer service is great. Its located in a pretty convenient spot and is perfect choice for takeaway night.

The burger are made to perfection. The fish is cooked perfectly and the chips are very well slated and the staff is absolutely friendly.

The team at The Local Village Garage look forward to our fish chips from here every Wednesday lunch time. The food is always delicious and fresh.
