Salted Egg reviews
44The food wasnt spectacular. My partner liked their food despite its hotness. I just expected to be wowed by the taste.
Food was amazing (those lamb ribs!), staff were friendly, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Fantastic team and service throughout the evening. We had the set menu and every dish was perfect and hit the spot. Loved the son in law eggs and the king fish and the signature Quincy sling was fresh and delicious.
I love good food and I know good food. The food here was excellent and so was the service. This is what asian fusion food should taste like- delicious, fresh and flavoursome! Each dish including the dessert tasted great! Can't wait to be back. Well done to all staff at Salted Egg.
Came here because the dessert place we wanted to go to wasn't open.
We thought of just getting dessert at this place because we had dinner earlier.
We were sat next to the kitchen. However, as soon as we saw the foods coming out of the kitchen for other tables, we wanted to try some too.
In the end, we tried couple of small plates, mocktails, and dessert. They tasted amazing, full of flavours!
We'll definitely go back there for their set menu next time.
The staff there was friendly too and was patient to us recommending some dishes.
Highly recommended place if you want to try Southeast Asian fusion dishes!
My husband and I came for dinner and loved it! We did the set-menu and were so impressed. Everything from the ambience, the lovely waiters, beautiful food was just on point. If you love your south-east Asian food, this one's a winner!
Delicious Asian fusion brunch meals. I stayed at the Quincy and had breakfast included as part of our stay. Didn’t expect it to be this extravagant! Very impressed with the quality and taste of these meals. They were the highlight of our stay.
Het menu a$65 is fantastisch. Professionele bediening. Voor Melbourne maatstaf goede akoestiek.
Great meal. We had the banquet which was a great tasting option.
Vegetarian was easily catered for as well
The food is the standout element - very good, well-executed and generally rich and complex in flavour. The set menu we had filled us up completely and was mostly very good. The Massaman Beef Brisket Curry was one of the best I've had the world over. The roti was perfect. Other dishes were mostly very good. Clearly the kitchen team have great experience. The service is just ok, with enthusiastic young staff who are quite young and clearly inexperienced. They're quite earnest but lack professionalism, grace and ease. It detracts a little from the overall experience. The wine list is good with ok-to-slightly expensive pricing, while the space is stylish, elegant and very comfortable, with music at an appropriate low level. If you want a stylish space and very good food you'll be satisfied. And you'll pay a premium for that.
Had dinner there, got the $75per person set menu. Plus and minus - pretty good food overall, highlights were the entree and desserts. Food and service amazing but the place was not very clean eg there were serious crumbs left on the table when we sat down and the glasses were absolutely filthy. The wait staff very quickly fixed it after we complained.
I had a very good experience in this Resturant, food was super nice specially Massam curry, the service offered by our server Esteban was very friendly and cocktails are just amazing.
Excellent food and cocktails. We had the $65 set menu and enjoyed every dish. However, the first 3 dishes came way too quickly, within 5 minutes of placing our order and well before our cocktails arrived. We had to eat very slowly and ask for the mains to be held back, otherwise we would have been finished with the entire meal in half an hour! Also, the rice that came with the mains was over cooked and claggy - surprising for an Asian restaurant. The roti, on the other hand, was very tasty and the pandan mousse for dessert was a delicious work of art. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.
Dined here for breakfast trying the pulled pork with poached eggs. The pork was VERY dry and the meal was quite tasteless.
Headed down for a team lunch with the work crew and was blown away with the incredible flavours and craftsmanship of the means. The lumch set menu is criminally good value! Already planning my next visit.
Had the lunch express lunch. Delicious smoked duck noodles, tantalising betel leef, divine curry. All at a reasonable price that left me satisfied and fulfilled for the reminder of Friday afternoon. Will definitely be taking colleagues back.
Quick lunch of dumplings - the wild mushroom and the prawn - holy cow these were good, some of the best dumplings I have ever tasted and the presentation was beautiful.
Staff is attentive, really cool vibe, tables are nicely spaced and easy access from King Street straight to lifts for level 1.
Friendly staff, great food and atmosphere! Cocktails were decent as well. The venue has a very nice rooftop bar to check out. Definitely recommend a visit.
2 for price of one deal, a bit sceptical but was pleasantly surprised, the ambiance was nice busy but not flat out. The food was okay a little salty for my liking, not overly impressed with the lamb dish. The staff were great attentive and when asked for something it was promptly addressed.
Great food in a lovely space. No split bills made it awkward for our group of corporate travellers.
