What a wonderful experience! Came here for a lobster dinner, as my 10 year old son desired this for his birthday! Doug was our waiter and boy was he amazing! So attentive and just truly amazing customer service and service all together! The food was delicious. Lobster was fresh and very well prepared! Everything was amazing! I am so happy we came here and will definitely be back! Thank you Doug!

Incredible food, seafood extravaganza! Great wine list and the staff are excellent, very attentive without being overbearing. Chilli prawns had to be mentioned as an Incredible entree!

We were disappointed, group of 7. Steak not enjoyable; entree garlic prawns was just weird with a crispy batter. Seafood linguine really did not enjoy the fish flavour. Three people had fish with only one saying they really enjoyed it…. Bit disappointing you only get chips with the fish.

What an awesome venue! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Fresh and delicious. So much variety. Recommend to everyone to try it at least once. You will not regret it. We'll be back there again soon.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch with friends. Atmosphere cozy & friendly - tables spaced apart. Ordered the duck, risotto, fish & veal. Everyone pleased with their choices.

Crayfish the best so delicious, I will back fot sure, the staff very helpful, courteous and polite, before i forget the King prawns amazing.

This place is unbelievable, I didn’t know it was a pub, a busy pub with a fire place. So it was noisy, but the service was great, wine prices by the glass were surprisingly affordable, and while plate prices seemed high, each fish serving had 3 big beautifully cooked fillets. Incredible food and worth every cent. We started with fresh oysters, snapper and salmon croquettes and Moreton Bay Bug tails, all great. Really enjoyed the King George whiting, mine was crumbed, my wife had egg wash, a friend had grilled and his partner had seafood linguini. All excellent. Unfortunately we were on the late sitting, and we took too long to order dessert. Most dishes had run out! Next time. We are going back.

Fantastic seafood restaurant /pub. Quality seafood /and extensive menu & wine list. Smart service, too. Good prices for quality, but the prices are also a notch below the CBD. Well worth a visit.

The food was less than average and the service very poor. Dated menu and butter still served in small plastic containers. Will definitely not be returning.

Went tapas style and ordered 6 entrées so we could get a variety of dishes rather than the traditional entrée and main.the food is always exectional quality, and this restaurant remains one of favourites

Extremely disappointed in this restaurant. Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant after being diagnosed as a Coeliac 7 years ago. There was no Gluten free bread available which would have been nice to compliment the mussel dish and to mop up the juices. I couldn't order the chips to go with the fish as they are not Gluten free and to top it all off, I could not order a side of salad to go with the grilled fish as there is soy in the salad dressing - come on! What half decent chef couldn't knock up a salad with a dressing of oil and lemon juice? The most uncaring restaurant I have come across for anyone with a Gluten intolerance. I was at Marion in Gertrude Street for lunch last week and the way they adapted their menu to suit a Coeliac was just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the food they serve is first rate. Never again will I go to Rubiras.

Was a local pub that we visited for the second time within a month. The first experience was good and decided to head back for a second visit. The seafood was exceptional initially and for the second visit as well. The Morten Bay bugs and crayfish was cooked to perfection the first time. On the second visit the bugs and fish was cooked again to perfection. Service and attention was on point with no faults. Harry's suggestions were good at all times, including the wine. Will definitely suggest this to all locals and perhaps anyone interested in travelling to the pub.
