Unbelievably good seafood. There are a couple of non seafood dishes as well for those who aren't keen on the sea. Just superb!

Very delicious, the panko crumb flathead is particularly nice, Moreton Bay Bugs are also a must.

Have always loved Rubiras food has become a little bland honey bug tails whilst cooked to perfection didn't have the crunch the honey or toasted sesame flavour and fish pack crumbed again fish texture was perfect but crumbs were over buttered and limp rather than crisp. Enjoyed the meal buy have had same dishes to perfection on previous visits

WOW! What can I say - brilliant food, brilliant service, brilliant wine selection, and brilliant atmosphere, doesn't get any better. If you want the BEST Seafood in Melbourne get down to Ribera's. Been coming to Ribera's for about 15+ years and it never disappoints! Hadn't been for several years as we move to Regional Victoria, but came back this week for my wife's birthday. It's still 10/10 from me.

When we made lunch catch up plans we didn't realise it was Mother's Day. It's been a long time since we went to Rubiras but I knew they were renowned for their seafood. Our table of 4 was located adjacent to the gas fire so it was a nice setting. Our attentive waitress advised there was flexibility with the item numbers listed on the menu for entrees so we ordered 5 bugs, 4 scallops and chilli prawns. Best for us was definitely the prawns with the bugs next and the scallops in their white sauce. There are multiple options for those not interested in fish but from the list of fish on offer I chose flathead fillets with chips. Then you get to choose what format you want them cooked in - fried, battered egg wash etc As a side we ordered the tomato, bocconcini and onion salad. The photo shows the size of the serve and it was certainly filling and tasty. The service staff worked like a well oiled machine and we would happily recommend dining here.

Really cool atmosphere inside the restaurant with excellent service! Staff were always checking on us and ensuring we had what we needed

For starters we had 6 natural oysters and 6 kilpatrick along with the most delicious spring rolls!

Mains were their steak, duck and seafood linguine - outstanding dishes

My wife and I have had lunch twice in the last 3 months.
Great attention when greeted.
Lachie our waiter was great and put our wine on ice prior to our pre lunch drinks.
The food is just delicious & the Barramundi Spring Rolls are a must. Had Tassie Sea Perch, good serving & cooked beautifully. All the staff were great and the location is easy with alot of street parking. Enjoy as I did.

This place feels like a fake Chinese food western restaurant.

If u just order something normal and not expensive I think it will be fine, I do like my market fish and chips.

But if u want to try any favorable things or nice cooking way, u will be disappointed.
Many dressing and sauce they use Chinese condiments a lot but only make u feel weird but not tasty if u know Chinese very well.

My Chilli cray fish was super salty, it’s juts a poached meat mixed with the chilli paste directly.
Actually the paste is not supposed to cook food in this way.

I noticed many dumplings or wonton or spring roll on the menu, very funny to see.

Anyway, do not have high expectations and order expensively, u will be fine

Great food. American portion sizes. Could be smaller.
Beer choices very limited. No craft beer all mainstream. Had to drink wine unfortunately.

Easily one of the best Seafood Linguine dishes I’ve had in Australia. Big portion, perfectly balanced and obviously fresh ingredients. Service was great, beer was cold, huge selection of wines. I will be back often. It was pretty busy, even for a Monday afternoon, so would make a reservation for the weekend or dinner. Must experience!

Not so much a negative review, but a suggestion: Update the flooring and general decor. It's all a little dark in a not such a good way and somewhat dank, overall.
Food we had was Ok but nothing special for the price, at all. Maybe just my selections on the night.

This place is a hidden gem of Melbourne. The absolute best seafood and service ever. Prices are also reasonable. Such a welcoming place with a great atmosphere. I’m recommending to everyone. Just wish I knew how to upload photos here, as it was seriously the best seafood we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for such a great and memorable experience. Can’t wait to return!

I can understand why Rubira’s has such a reputation for seafood I came for my birthday with a group of friends and the food was amazing. Even for the non seafood eater the menu was able to cater. The place was super busy and it took a while to get menus and for orders to be taken, my friend ended up getting the menus for our table that were sitting on the window sill. Despite the timeliness, the food was great mostly (chips were average though) and the servers were friendly. The snapper was melt in your mouth, Moreton bay bugs delicious and cosmo refreshing for such a warm evening.

Lovely ambience but the food was disappointing. When we asked the waitress for her opinion on the wine she only had one recommendation, the most expensive one, and couldn't offer an opinion on any other bottle. The dishes were small and mediocre. One waitress we had was lovely but feels like a pub trying to punch out of it's weight and missing the mark.

What a wonderful dinner! Just had lots of beautifully cooked seafood, especially the pan fried John Dory and the lobster! You come here and pay for nice food. 100%worth the money. Will definitely come back.

Best seafood in Melbourne, there is a reason it’s hard to get a table there. But if you are lucky I would definitely recommend. Warm fireplace inside for a nice feel, service is on point and the food is delicious. The triple threat.
