Rubens @ Hepburn

I came to get take away on a Monday night when the kitchen opened at 6 p.m. My order took a while but while waiting a stream of people came in. The waitress commented that they were fully booked, but it was school holidays so not sure what its like othereise. Nice roaring open fire place, pleasant staff & great food.

I came here with my husband from ease of lockdowns with regional laws. We saw the sign, checked the menu and got a table.
We were greeted with exceptional service, all staff were very friendly and very efficient.
My Husband claimed that the Margherita Pizza is one of the best, if not THE BEST he has had. I also confirm that it's definitely the best Margherita pizza I have ordered.
Better then the top pizza shops in Melbourne, Lygon St and Liverpool St SPQR. Highly recommended and will be returning in the future.

Amazing food- loved the arancini, salmon croquettes and bruschetta. Pizza bases were delish but maybe could do with a bit more seasoning.

It has been 2 years since the last visit and this one was just as good. The arancini balls and salmon croquettes are magnificent. The gnocchi were giant soft pillows full of flavour. The pizza is spot on. Looking forward to our next visit

After coming under new management since I last are here, the pizzas have become markedly better, I had the tandouri chicken gourmet pizza for reference and it was not comparable to last year, great job.

Excellent service, great venue, my meal was so delicious. I had a chicken Parma and it was beautiful. Would highly recommend. Great venue, excellent friendly service and amazing meal thank you.

My friends had such a wonderful 40th birthday dinner at Ruben's. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the menu was fantastic. Great range of delicious meals at a good price in a lovely setting. Special shout out for the excellent steak and cocktails! Highly recommend.

The place was great and safety measures were being followed strictly. The food was good and was prepared with proper precaution and following the guidelines. The service staff was really helpful. The experience was good.

Awesome. Taste I tried Italian pizza and the taste was delicious can not be defined in words and the stuffed garlic bread was just mouth watering.

Wow! Amazing food. One of the nicest restaurant meals I've had in a long while. Fresh, balanced, well presented, non pretentious, well priced food. Bruschetta with Caramelised Onion, Goats Cheese, crispy Prosciutto on Sourdough was outstanding. Calamari, chips and salad was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Salmon steak with same sides, hubby proclaimed to be the best salmon he's ever had. Crispy skin, moist, melted in your mouth with a beautiful dill aioli. Finished meal with fresh mini donuts and creamy ice cream. So fluffy! Even the coffee and local Shiraz was of the highest quality. I'm a trained cook and this meal was faultless. Great service. Will go back. Please, change nothing!

Food awesome, however you forgot to clean the toilets. Mens were a mess and my other half mentioned the ladies was the same.

Stopped in here for lunch and we were both utterly amazed but how delicious the food was. We will definitely be making trips to come eat here again! Good job to the chef's and staff, brilliant service!

10/10! We stayed at Swiss Mt Villa 5 Balneo 100m down the road and this place was suggested to eat at.and we were not disappointed! Food is amazing and such good value, and the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome, and safe during this pandemic. If you stay in Hepburn, this restaurant is a MUST!

A generous range of tasty meals on a thoughtful menu. An excellent wine list. Quick service and well priced. Delightful experience.

Even through coronavirus, wonderful staff, service and lovely hearty meals.
It's great to have the open kitchen and hear all the chopping and cooking going on. Everything is fresh and local, and meals are cooked with love and pride.
Would recommend for everyone to try

Great authentic Italian food. Weirdly enough they don't have ravioli but they make up for it with a large pizza selection and three types of risotto. While the food was great the drinks was actually a one star. The mojito I had was just like juice and soda, there was no alcohol in it. The brusachetta and garlic prawn is highly recommended. Had two starters, two mains and two drinks for $99.

Just had our ISO night out for dinner second night running, and could not go past Rubens again. I had the salmon and grilled veggies for the second night running, , a bargain at $22. The menu is great for any time let alone ISO times. It's all cooked fresh to order. Definately recommend you get some on your fork.

Dips were really good and the smoked salmon fettuccine was fantastic but the calamari was disappointing as it tasted superstore bought and not nice. Ambience was good and the staff friendly.
