Good prime location alongside the main road. Looks historic and exotic. Very trendy crowd. One of the best local Seymour hotels. Professional warm and courteous staff. Excellent accommodation facilities. Reliable room rates and super food. Terrific ambience and superb views from the hotel.

Great atmosphere and generally great food the only complaint I have is with the 600g porterhouse, I asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare the steak was medium till the middle then was rare in the middle, also the steak hadn't been seasoned or rested. My only suggestion is to buy a bigger plate so you can get a bigger steak which is easier to cook evenly.

Lovely pub which serves large portions by friendly staff. Excellent place to stop by while travelling either north or south.

Played poker there for the first time on the Friday night 10th January. What a great night, calming atmosphere and a great host.

Lovely traditional pub food. Generous serving. Very tasty without being flash. Well catered for gluten free options. Well worth stopping by if you are on a long journey.

Sensational, honest food made with love. Friendly staff are happy to help with GF and dairy-free options. The roast special was great, as was the slow-cooked brisket and salt & pepper squid. Well worth the stop, 1-2mins off the Hume Hwy.

Never had a bad meal here. Always a good feed. Always comfortable. Plenty of room, good service, fast and friendly. Fantastic!

If you're traveling the Hume Highway going to or from some places then this is a nice pub to drop in and have a meal or a drink, quality food and beverages and friendly enough staff! Not too many beverages though!

Located close to centre of Seymour, room booked ahead luckily, turns out it’s a very popular place to stay. On-site motorcycle parking, very clean bedrooms, share bathroom, and share breakfast facilities. Comfy beds, aircon, and an opening window.
Excellent bar & restaurant, friendly & helpful owners and staff.
Overall great value.

Highly recommend The royal.we stopped in on our way back from holidays for a late tea and they were more than accomadating.my partner has always added a horrible amount of salt and pepper to all his meals but the steak he had didn't need anything and was perfectly cooked.we couldn't fault anything.the service was even spot on.
Paul even went above and beyond with our son.thank you and we will be returning in the very near future even if we have to stay in say more just to have lunch or tea. It's well worth the 2+ hour trip from ballarat

At Seymour hotel we were given a talk by managers wife on history of oldest hotel and that ghost sitings occur. Very gòod food and lovely happy staff

The Town and Country hotel used to be around here somewhere. Where the hell is it? It was a hell of a nice pub to have a few beers in. I spose it must have been knocked down or something. All in the name of supposed 'progress'. What an absolute hell of a joke and an absolute damn shame to boot! There definitely is no justice in this world.

Enjoyed our lunch. Friendly service and great food at a good price. Nice clean and modern dining room. Will return to try the dinner menu.

It's definitely the best option for a true pub feed in town. In the typical Aussie pub fashion the food portions are large and the menu has all the classics. The staff are very friendly and the food comes out in good timing, even if they are busy.

We went there for dinner was around 30 of us. I am a local and have always enjoyed meals there but tonight it was absolutely appalling received meals that we didnt order. Waited for some of our meals for over 1and half hours and 2 of them even longer was not up to the standard we expected the roast of the day was sloppy mash with some sliced lamb on it no roast veggies just some zucchini boc choy and bits of carrot and red capsicum.so disappointed.
And when we went to the bar to try and get a drink waited for 20min b4 getting served what the hell. Sorry guys lost us for good this time

Was visiting friends in the region and we came here for dinner. A very busy place on a Thursday night and we had a very pleasant meal.

I’d recommend booking ahead if you want to be guaranteed a table. You need to order drinks and food at the counter and then your food will arrive pretty quick.

The portions are large and their chicken Parma was tasty and great. They have cold water and glasses at the bar so you can help yourself which is a nice touch.

Decor is basic but you don’t expect much more from a country pub. Overall a very pleasant experience and if I’m back in Seymour be happy to go there.
