Royal Hotel reviews
59Dropped in on our way along the highway. Great place for a break and some pub food. Fast and friendly service, even though they just had 45 walk in for a lunch party
Meals were great, wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Would give 5 stars however severely let down by the cold welcome and rude attitude of the bar staff.
Had a beautiful meal there with my partner for my 60th well worth dropping in for a meal or a drink
Rang for accommodation, was screamed at down the phone with a loud no, we don't do that anymore, we'll adjust your web site to no accommodation and you won't get the phone calls
I stayed at the Royal Hotel for 3 nights recently. I completely enjoyed the hospitality of the publican, Paul, and his wife, Lee. They are the epitome of “the wonderful country pub experience”. I have stayed there on many occasions over the years, and have experienced their “rock solid hospitality” each and every time
Great typical pub food with a pretty good pricing. Although menu options were basic but the food made up for that. Service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. Just a nice typical town pub.
We stopped in for dinner on our way home. The service was great, friendly and welcoming. We ordered rissoles, and I have to say, they were the best rissoles I have eaten in a long time. If you are after a great country style meal, would highly recommend the Royal Hotel in Seymour. We sat out out in the beer garden and our dog was also welcomed. Thanks Greg and Deb
Always a consistent quality meal here. There are specials but the menu of pub staples and a few fancier items are always top notch tucker
Stopped for a friendly drink after a ride. Great place, friendly staff, meals were apparently pretty good, they looked it! Looking forward to doing it again.
Diverted off freeway for a meal rather than fast food at service station to this gem! Great pub food, good variety, reasonably priced. Staff very busy but managed to find us a table. Very friendly and good service. Thoroughly recommend and will come back again. Thanks
Friendly staff with generous and reasonably priced meals. Clean toilets.
Would highly reccommend the home made rissoles in onion gravy or the corned silverside beef served with vegies and mashed potato on a cold day.
We've always had lovely meals here. They are a bigger portion size so you won't go hungry. Staff are nice and accommodating. A great spot for a birthday of any age, especially the room out the back which has a big tv and open fireplace. Wait times for meals is usually minimal. For a decent pub meal, this is a great hotel!
Went for a meal with mates and the service was disgusting, the staff members behind the bar acted as if our group was a significant inconvenience. One in particular was rude and demanding and did not make us feel welcome at all to the point where we had drinks and left after tried to force us to order food and wouldn’t take no for an answer. When we left we tried to quietly and respectfully leave and the staff were patronising and it was just an overall awful experience. Would recommend the dumpster out the back of literally anywhere else, at least the smell might not stink as bad as the staff’s attitude.
Visited on many occasions over time, called in for Beer with workmates was told unable to serve me because I am from Melbourne, (covid) Fully understood, Friendly Barman who explained Legalities of same, Love how QR was used, Thanks Mate, to many business's not enforcing Covid rules.
Service was poor, wanted to have dinner and a few drinks with some mates but was soo put off by the rudeness of the staff. Would not recommend attending this establishment as there a better pubs in Seymour with friendlier staff members.
Staff were disgustingly disrespectful, didn’t even bother eating there would not recommend this place to anyone
First time dining at Seymour's Royal Hotel. We were in Moody's room which was lovely. The staff were friendly and took very good care of us. All four in our party loved our meals which arrived at our table in a reasonable time. I had the chicken Camembert which was delish.
Great food and service and the staff are very friendly and helpful, fully recommend it. The hotel is very clean and bright, I give it 5 stars.
The staff are awesome! It’s the sort of place that makes you feel at home when you are away from home.
Get country pub with great people behind the bar and good food looking forward to returning soon
