Rosstown Hotel reviews
55Very spacious venue. Appreciated it being open on New Year's Day when many places in the area were closed. The wait staff were very friendly & helpful. They even voluntarily moved us to another table to be away from a group near to us. Meals all decent size & quality. The also have a Seniors' discounted menu.
Had a pre-Christmas catch up here, service was quick, food was good and the place was full. Bistro/counter service where you need to order meals and different registers at different ends of the bar and effectively line up twice is weird. I’m sure there’s an attempt at justification, but it’s not quicker, it’s not more efficient, it’s actually really dumb. But otherwise the place is good.
We were a group of 38 adults. Food was great with large and plentiful portions. Service was also great. I definitely recommend trying it out
Not much variety on tap, only 2 x 4 tap banks spotted in the main bar. Large outdoor area at the rear and many sports TV's. Also many drunk people when I visited, some glasses smashed on the floor near me, maybe RSA and security could be a little more proactive. Not ideal for us unfortunately.
One of the best restaurants in Carnegie, I am traveling all over the world. If you travel in Melbourne and living in around Carnegie then this is the best restaurant to get delicious food. Price is reasonable. And food is so delicious. You can get most delicious Indian food here. Special thank to chef Raju Bandhari. Food is really really so tasty. Prime location. 1 min walk from Carnegie Metro Station. I can recommend to my all Asian traveler to try this restaurant. Also you can get halal food here.
That's the last meal at the Rosstown for this year, bring on 2020. Great meals, & the GUINNESS on tap is tops. SERVICE is the best.
Good feed, friendll staff, love it.
It is good to be able to enjoy a cold beer with mates again.
Terrible service and fiod quality, meal took nearly am hour to serve which would have been ok if quality was good. Steak in steak sandwich tasted like she level, prices overall too high
Went on the 24th March 2022. Parma was tasty and cooked well. Chips included tomato sauce which is always great. Great atmosphere with pokies:)
Great pub. Spacious, friendly staff. Good food and music.
Large outdoor area.
Big tv screens. Large pokies area.
Can eat indoors or outdoors.
Has function rooms for hire. Lots of parking.
Went to the Rosstown with my family for an unplanned lunch. Considering just about every hospitality venue is short of staff, there didn't seem to be any issues here. Staff were quick to seat us, make us comfortable and tell us the specials. The food was delicious and ample. My parents had the calamari, it was huge! Cooked beautifully with 2 different flavour of seasoning. My brother had a burger, beautifully presented with chios and onion rings. He smashed it. My sister had the roast of the day and I had the ceasar salad. Both were very tasty. All up, I highly recommend you go for a visit and see yourself.
First time visiting Rosstown Hotel and I must say it was fantastic. Had lunch with a group of people and meals were presented beautifully which made me salivate before tasting and flavoursome.
Prices are a little expensive for the size of the meal.
Gaming room large and bright with friendly staff.
Definitely would visit again, even when I'm an hour away.
Relaxed bar and smoking garden with well spaced modern pokie machines with great jackpots and loads of variety of games all the things one expects to find in a local gaming venue
Great bistro meal. Slightly pricey but you do get a decent amount of food. Their soft drinks were ridiculously overpriced.
Good steady pub for Friday lunch, including seniors meals. Busy but good service. Return visit on Tuesday Quiet but good again
The foods pretty good. Pretty steep prices for a pub. Overall a quality venue for a feed/drink though. Not just a pokies den like a few other pubs nearby.
I have no problem with checking in, however when I arrive on a motorcycle and the staff see my broken mask, after checking in and refuse, use some common sense.
I have masks at my work place for exact that reason.
Won’t go there again. I even asked if I could have one, and was refused, and staff still said they should have masks.
Thursday 7PM, the bistro is mostly empty and no wonder why. Insane prices for a pub meal, more expensive than the average restaurant and servings are of very ordinary size.
You will definitely not take home a doggy bag with leftovers.
On a positive note the food was tasty and staff efficient.
Poor value for money and I shall not return in a hurry.
Nice atmosphere. But $30 for a chicken parma (small sized too) is really a rip off! Furthermore it was 5/10 good. Nowhere near the best I've had, much better places for that money
Ok meal but overpriced for a pub. I gave 4 stars because 3.5 is not possible.
Otherwise good place to meet with friends in a pleasant and safe surrounding.
