Consistent quality over many years. Always a good meal, great coffee, staff are generally friendly, but a couple of them were quite surly on my last visit.

Great sweet delights to satisfy my sweet tooth craving. Combine that with a nicely brewed coffee and it's a great sit down.

A delight to sit under the ancient rose bushes: what a great use of old rotary clothes hoists! Excellent coffee and food. A shame it shuts so early.

Fantastic little cafe, gorgeous interior and convenient location while I was passing through Kilmore on business. Delicious coffee and supremely friendly staff. The service is excellent, I felt like a local despite being in town only for a few hours! Went back for seconds before I headed back to Melbourne, can't wait to return next time I'm in Kilmore!

Long wait for coffee! On a slow period. The coffee itself was good, best in town, it was good, full body and very creamy milk and food was hot. I stopped here after reading other reviews. My personal experience was not that great. On entering I was told the shop will only be open for half and hour, thats fine we only wanted to try the coffee. At some stage a woman popped out and told the staff to lock the doors, we didn't feel welcomed at all, it was 20 minutes before advertised closing time. We drank our coffee down as quick as we could, unlocked the door ourselves and there gate. My first experience wasn't the best. I won't go back to try the food. A lot of stress and rushing energy in the air.

Great food, great milkshakes, probably the best milkshake I have ever had. Relaxing environment and helping staff with good food. Slightly pricey, but worth it.

I love going for weekend drives and finding cute little coffee shops and Rose Cafe didn’t disappoint. Be prepared to wait for your food and drinks as this place is very, very busy. Food was yummy and coffee and chai tea was perfect.
