Popular place among Asians. Good value for food. Famous for its roast duck, BBQ pork, roast pork and soya chicken. Chinese dishes are great too! Good place for family and friends gatherings.

The food here is absolutely delicious, I love the Cantonese cuisine. The Peking duck here are the best never disappoint me, I like the restaurant very traditional.

Sometimes very good and sometimes not as good, mainly due to different chefs or change of chefs sometimes.

Guys, take your own calculator with you if you are planning to eat here. My bill should have been only, $240, but the lady managed to find another $69 from somewhere to include into my bill ($309) Then she refused EFT payment and demanded cash ONLY.

Lady told me that it will be $379 if I use EFT payment. That's an extra $70 if I use my card. I nealy ended up calling the police.

Watch out

What's good? The food and staff. What could be better? The wait (which took a while) and prices are a bit high. Enjoyed dinner here though. Recommend the lobster noodles and the golden crusted bittergourd. Thanks for the delicious meal!

Once upon a time, this is the place to go for a meal when in Glen. Unfortunately they price themselves out when the Chinese patrons came in heaps. Added to the woes, the services are often unfriendly and that's the last straw! So we skip this place.

Horrible staff, (old man) tried to talk down to us in his native tongue. Little did he knew I understood and confronted him.

Wouldn't visit again, the food wasn't that great. The veteran staffs/waiters are racist, and treats customers indifferently.

This is a good local Chinese restaurant that have been doing for ages - since the 80s.

The food is good but the pries have gone up considerably over the years

Seafood is well cooked and flavourful. The lobster and crab noodles are tasty and the flavour permeates well into the noodles and the sauce.

Super grumpy and a lot of swearing involved from head staff. Can be pushy if take a little long to decide dishes. Quite scary to go there sometimes. Seasonal temperament staff.

We tried their combination fried noodles and crispy fried chicken. Delicious, very tasty indeed. Can't find anything not to like. My only comment is that I had tinnitus after that dinner as the place was too noisy. The walls weren't absorbing the sound so basically it was bouncing around. We could loudly hear what the table many feet away from us were talking about. Imagine that when the restaurant is full

A famous artist by the name of Mark Rothko says "If you only look at my paintings for it's colours, then you are missing the deeper meaning behind it" I cant help but think of this phrase as I am sitting in Rock Kung. I have been coming here for many, many years and not a single thing has changed. Some of the best things in the world, such as Porsche 911 never changed it's design because they know that when something is a classic you shouldn't change it. I feel the same way about Rock Kung - Anyone that says the place needs to be a little more clean, or the service a little more friendly is missing out on the deeper meaning behind the place. The food is delicious and the staff are direct which is something quite charming about the atmosphere. The wooden walls and the handwritten specials, the chinese paintings and fish add more value to the atmosphere whilst keeping that classic intention. I particularly like it when at a moment in the evening all the staff will gather around a table in the middle of the restaurant and share a large bowl of noodles, this is something interesting to whitness; and looks as if the staff are enjoying sharing that moment together. I know it sounds basic, but please try the san choi bow and thank me later for it; or the salt and pepper squid or the peking duck or the.the list goes on. I could speak forever about the great food. Just like the design of the Porsche, please don't change.
