Rochford Wines Yarra Valley

Arriving at the place today to be greeted by a man who was taking people in to the isabella restaurant where I had a booking.

Told him i had a booking for two as it was my partners birthday after the man looked me up and down he said i dont think so and walked off and continued to do something else.

After standing around for 10 minutes waiting for him to return, nothing.

My partner and i decided to leave and find a venue that has better respect and manners for people who attend their venues.

Absolutely poor service from beginning to end, do yourself a favour and visit wineries in the region that have a much better vibe, people culture and just plain respect.

We visited this winery as part of our Yarra Valley wine tour. The wines were nice, we liked the Blanc de blancs the most, which we had the opportunity to taste, although it is not normally available for tasting. Very busy place, there were a lot of people, you can see that the place is popular especially for celebrations. We also had a very tasty 2-course lunch there. All dishes were delicious, we had a choice of 3 dishes, and they also offered 3 different children's menus.

Went for a 30th birthday, immediately the service was terrible. Gave the child a colouring page but no pencils. When we went to order drinks, we were told they had none of the ingredients needed for any of the cocktails, waitress didn’t know what tables the food was going to, never asked again if we wanted more drinks, nor were we able to catch someone to ask if we could order more Drinks. None of the toilets flushed …. And when we questioned this they just said “oh, we need to upgrade the systems” at least the food was alright

Such a wonderful afternoon at the pizza restaurant, il Vigneto. Out on the deck overlooking the lake. Lovely pizza. Wonderful olives to start. And the best bit, they made our dogs so welcome. Dog beds. Water. And a pat.

Had lunch at Rochford with friends. Food was lovely, however, the service was just terrible. Hardly any customers in the venue, lots of staff, but waited over 30 minutes from ordering a bottle of wine to when it actually came to the table.
Ordered a bottle of bubbles & staff wanted to know if we would like it opened, seriously! Extremely dissapointing. We had purchased a set menu which included a wine tasting. Wine tasting made up for all the other let downs. Served by staff member Freddie who really knew what he was talking about, gave us all his attention and made the day for all of us. Perhaps Freddie could give your restaurant staff some lessons in customer service.

Had a very enjoyable lunch, food very good.
Service however, somewhat lacking.
Finished off with a wine tasting. Could not speak more highly of Freddy, fantastic knowledge and impeccable service!

Renata was amazing as soon as we walked in the restaurant she greeted us with a smile her customer service was so nice that we stayed for hours enjoying our very decadent meals. I have never seen such profound and professional service anywhere I have been before. She went out of her way with drinks food and her friendly attitude and mannerism was spot on. I will definitely return and bring all my family and friends and not just for the delicious food but to have a chat with Renata. What a superb weekend get away thank you to management and staff. Love this place

Awesome food and service! So yummy! A must visit if you are in the area! Plenty of parking. Simple and nice on the day we visited

We went to Rochford wines for wine tasting and Lunch with a big group of friends. The Wines, Food, service and Isabella restaurant venue are awesome. Special thanks to our table manager Max for his super awesome service and great attitude. I found the estate Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Blanc de Blanc amazing. Truly this was one of the best winery lunch experiences we have ever had!

Unfortunately, the food let this place down. Went with a large group although food came out relatively quickly they couldn’t cater for vegetarian, Vegans or any food allergies very over priced for what we got

Taken me a while to write this but wanted to extend a big thank you to Natalie and the team at the cellar door. My wife and I were treated to a comprehensive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay tasting and discussion and we are incredibly grateful for the experience. Natalie's wine knowledge is extensive and the service we received from both herself and Talesha (excuse my spelling if incorrect) was of an exceptional standard. Thanks again.

Freddie was very helpful in helping us find 3 great bottles during our tasting that we brought home. However while we were able to try some wines side by side, for some reason we were only able to have others one at a time which made it a bit difficult to evaluate between two similar bottles.

Natalie served us for wine tasting and she was so casual, cool, bubbly and entertaining with her service. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and it was most definetely heightened by her positive attitude. She went above and beyond and it really made our day! Great work Natalie? Great winery and with exceptional service too. I purchased some of the Toolangi E Block 2019; the Rochford Single Vineyard Premier Pinot Noir’s and the Single Vineyard Terre Chardonnay - exceptional!

Did the wine tasting and there’s a couple of interesting wine that I like. Food was ok, nothing in particular to shout out about. Really commercial place and they host tour group, so if you’re visiting. Would recommend reservation, just in case.

Did the Harvest Experience tour. Really informative guides that made you feel at home as a newbie. Seeing the back of house machinery and barrel stores was an eye opener. The meal that followed was exceptional and matched up with the wines from the vines we had just seen. A must do Yarra Valley destination.

Was here for lunch on a promotion $60 for 3 courses great value. Good attentive service. Food was presented beautifully in a timely manner. Entrees delicious however the mains were disappointing. 16 hour slow cooked Oyster Blade should not be on the menu. Such a cheap cut of meat to use at a winery, was extremely dry. It could have done with a gravy.or some type of sauce to accompany it. Perhaps at a winery like this they could offer a better choice of meat. Snapper was also very dry. Deserts were good. Over all a pleasant day at Rockford but they need to improve the quality of food. Ample parking, huge area outside too.

Janine was absolutely lovely guiding us through our wine tasting. First time here and we'll definitely come back. Make sure you check up the views upstairs. Very good wine and good prices. I bought 2 Shiraz wines that we loved.

Took my partner and my daughter out for lunch on a day date before we have to settle back In to work for the new year, absolutely perfect decision to turn off to see what they had to offer. The 16 hour Oyster Blade and the goats cheese had me in heaven. Perfect! Well done team, the service was beyond impeccable. The humming chatter and clinking cutlery just topped off a perfect lunch.

Ate at the restaurant Isabella’s. Very over priced. Very bland food. We had the sous vide beef and the beetroot borek and the Hassell back potatoes. Food was very bland and very expensive for not being tasty. The service was not good at all, no one ever came to check on the food or wine. Would not ever recommend this place to eat.
