Rochester Hotel reviews
61 I wanted to share amazing experience I had at The Rochey for my 30th birthday. Benoit was beyond hospitable, was super responsive and took on all my requests with ease. He made sure the day ran so smoothly and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I even had some last minute changes, which he handled quickly and efficiently.
My guests were so happy with the space and the vibe was perfect for what I wanted.
The food was amazing, and Benoit worked with their chef to curate a menu that everyone loved and we were talking about days later.
Also shout out to Sim, who helped out last Saturday, as well as at my partner’s birthday around the same time last year. Sim has awesome energy and helped to make the day what it was too.
Loved the day and can’t wait to be back - thanks so much again. I truly appreciate it! I would highly recommend booking The Rochey Green Room for your event:)
I love this place such great vibes, delicious food and drinks! Great atmosphere and just a great venue.
Great food and service. Love the vibe with the fire places. So cosy and and comfortable. You'll definitely be seeing more of me.
This is a great place, the staff are responsible and respectful and just admirable with their response to situations that other places might disregard
Steak? Night got to check this place out. Great staff. Great Happy hour. Happy go lucky and the food was next level. Waitress and Bar Maid polite and friendly.
The best roast I’ve had in Melbourne, very hospitable and a very warm pub. Most enjoyed on a cold winters day.
Great food and service. Love the vibe with the fire places. So cosy and and comfortable. You'll definitely be seeing more of me.
Absolutely disgusted about how the staff treat their patrons. Will never return, would recommend anywhere else. Literally anywhere else!
Came here for a Sunday session and enjoyed great non-alcoholic cocktails by Lyre’s, and a Sunday roast. I had a vegetarian option, which instead of beef was tempura mushrooms - too oily and too much batter, not a fan. The roasted vegetables and gravy was good. The vegetarian option didn’t come with a Yorkshire pudding like the beef roast does - the Yorkshire pudding not being strictly vegan. Both are $25. As this is my favourite part of a roast I also asked for a pudding which was charged at $3. We also had gnocchi which was good. Over all nice atmosphere and nice staff.
The Rochy is very popular with a young crowd. I prefer it on weeknights, or early evenings on weekends before it turns more into a nightclub vibe. The music is very loud and the beer gardens is always very busy with smokers. While it is not my kind of atmosphere it is very popular with other people and those wanting a lively pumping atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if that is what you are after
The Rochy! What a great pub! Many great memories were made here over the years.
I do miss the old dancefloor that has now become a kitchen but all good things come to an end at some stage.
Non the less it's still an amazing venue. Would recommend!
The staff is so accommodating at the Rochey and the atmosphere is a lot of fun! I had an absolutely amazing night with friends and highly recommend everyone go to the Rochey for a night out or an event
The rebirth of the Rochey is a dream come true. James is an absolute legend and all of the staff make it feel like you're coming home. Can't wait to continue my love affair with this new iteration of the Rochey!
First night out post lockdown with a big group, was great to be out again and we were so happy we chose the rochey to mark this occasion. Staff were super welcoming and really looked after us, the food and cocktails were so yummy, especially the margaritas!
The man Rafael! He brings the good times, thanks for being so accomadating.
See you with orange and cinnamon next time x
Amazing pub. Great vibes, big tables, delish Long Island iced teas and tasty vegetarian/vegan options.
Great vibes for post lockdown drinks and dinner. HIGHLY recommend the fish finger sanga with minty mushy peas. Incredible. Will be been for another ASAP.
These guys
Are amazing
Lockdown has been hard, and it's so good to get amongst good people again - and these are good people.
Had a blast
I see there are some reviews here complaining about the size of the meal. Not sure what happened in those instances, but mine was so large I had trouble keeping it on the plate. I came in without a booking (on a Friday night) because I was hungry and looking for somewhere to sit down and eat. The staff were accommodating and super friendly (unfortunately, I was very hungry so I wasn't really that chatty. But appreciate how fast and professional the service was). The menu isn't huge so I wasn't sure what to expect. I wound up ordering the steak - and it was fantastic. Particularly the Rochy's green butter, which had flavors I've never had with a steak before but complimented TF out of it. Would definitely come back. (If only to try to work out what they're putting in that butter).
Having had the pleasure of speaking with Boston bartender. Was disappointed to be interrupted by the manager who told him that "you aren't to talk to the customers" I found it hard to spend anymore money when the manager is not respecting the emoyees
