Red Rooster Ascot Vale

This place was the first red rooster that has gave us fresh chips and chicken in ages the communication from the staff manger to the workers was fantastic as we dined in we could hear.he was making sure orders were going out correctly and it seemed to run smooth more take away food stores need manages like this keep up the good work.

Went there for some chips and they were hot and dressy would recommend to anyone who wants chips but I cannot rate the chicken as I have never had them yet

Ordered online and took more than 30 minutes to get my food.they didn’t even notice my order until I told them I have an online order.

Problem solving skills are pretty good I won’t lie.
Most food was cooked well just the sweet potato fries (some were very thick hard to cook properly).
The main thing they need to remember is that we can hear them when in the restaurant.

The restaurant is clean, staff are attentive to customers and the overall ordering process is fast and easy.

The stores management is relatively new so I could imagine what it'd be like adjusting to a new environment, ensuring the right staff are hired etc.

This Red Rooster is in a great location, it has plenty of car parks, along along with heaps of indoor seating, toilets etc.

Great location for lunch or dinner, it has a cosy and quiet feel when eating in.

You can find a bunch of lovely, friendly people with excellent customer service, good hygine and high quality food.
My son is a chips lover so we tried a lot of fast foods around, this place is our priority to get food from.

Ordered my usual favourite sandwich.
Only to discover when back home, it was half the size.
Called the store to try understand what happened.reply: we received the bread rolls half the size.
And nobody cared to advise the customers or to give another perk to compensate.
Amazing!

By far the worst experience I've ever witnessed in a fast food chain.

The service was absolutely atrocious. We were left waiting by the til for 5 minutes before being served.

The guy ordering people around greeted us and apologised for the delay in serving.

However, as we paid for the order. He continued at the back to order the other staffs around.

Very strong personality and unlikeable. What I would call a two face.

I think he needs to take a leadership course and humble himself. (Red rooster should definitely cover this as part of his professional development)

Food otherwise was pretty good!

I guess a Red Rooster is just a Red Rooster. But the guy working last night at the Ascot Vale store deserves a mention.
He was so friendly and warm, so attentive that I couldn't not mention it.
I don't know his name but he should be promoted in my opinion.

Absolutely sensational service!

We went though the drive through the other night and placed an order. When we arrived at the window, the manager told us that they had run out of a certain product. No big deal!

He was so friendly and apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He gave us free paddle pops and made our day with his outstanding service.

A fantastic and unexpectedly positive experience.

Rooster roll was full of gristle and fat. I had 2 bites and threw it away. The chips were well cooked though

Wanted to go for KFC but lucjily ended up here. The staff understood my stutter and confused order so smoothly. Burgers were light and fresh. Roast was so juicy. Great experience.

Loving the fact the Rooster Rolls are back to tasting great as they did several years ago. For a few years the rooster roll had gone down hill and they skimped on the mayonnaise dressing. I'm not sure if the place has changed owners as 3-4 years ago staff were incompetent and management rude. They have improved greatly in the last 12 months, with more friend front customer service staff, who you don't have to repeat the order 5 times for them to understand, they understand the first time.

Pleasantly surprised on the way back late night they had some delicious burghers to offer. Halal options available. Great new mgt, explained how it all works. Thank you Max, will be coming again

Good customer service, excess found closed from mr alexder road on 8 Feb 2022, can use princes st instead and walk through

First of all I am really disappointed in the food i Order big feed or feats in picture there are peas but instead they put potatoes now i got extra potatoes with chips come on they didn't ask or call and said anything

Second the chicken your famous chicken salty and taste no difference like coles roast not sure they are same company or not but really disappoint but at least coles chicken little bit better and your chicken is so dried and salty

your nugget cheese totally blend inside burger is the only decent thing i can eat the rest i have to throw it out cause it's really taste awful i am quite picky and really really disappointed in your food. Corn really watery and sweet because of corn no butter better to grill with butter instead of boiling and give butter on side.

Worst of all if your peas are out you guys should at least call for replacement or refund instead you add more potatoes with more chips this is absurd. I recommend you take this seriously cause if not you will lose more customer in future

The Rippa Subs have gotten considerably smaller over the years. It's on par with a 6 inch at Subway now. The chips were soggy and their gravy just isn't that great. They do make a good pineapple fritter though.

Should be illegal to call this a regular size. Should be illegal to give me two spoons for this how could two people eat from this. My parrot would pluck its feathers out if I served him this. It's tiny. If I ever accedently ordered this again I would use a 5 dollar note and snort it.

Red Rooster on Mount Alexander Road Ascot Vale is a bit of an enigma. It has a strange 90s feel about it. It feels old. Unloved. Before ordering I was asked if I had cash. Odd. Then informed that there was something wrong with the eftpos terminals and it was cash only. Luckily I had cash. I could hear the same thing being said to drive through customers as well - causing many to drive straight through. In COVID times - cash only? Albeit - let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and it wasn’t some sort of end of year bonus for the owners. I ordered the chicken burger combo it’s called the ‘Reds Combo’. I was expecting from the photo that the chicken would be a fillet - but it seems to be shredded chicken squeezed into a fillet shape. Again odd. The burger is small too. Tasty enough. Salad however look tired with edges starting to brown on some pieces. Chips were disappointing - a bit cold. 3 stars a fair summary.
