Had a lovely night.
The bartender Shayne was extremely attentive and friendly and made sure we had a good time. Thanks Shayne.

Sat by the nice warm fire and had a share plate. It was delicious. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely delicious meals (pork belly and beef cheeks). Very friendly staff. Great venue.

Good place to have a drink and a meal. The cauliflower steak was very unusual; the portions are pretty big. The wine (Shiraz) was not the best ever though

I thoroughly enjoyed the night, the food and the staff were great.
If I had one complaint it was that the service was very slow.
I make that comment because we had uoung children with us.
I will definitely go back again.

In Ballarat for a break tried the Red Lion first night here had to come back. Great food and great service, never met staff with such a great attitude.

Ordered the big breakfast and the eggs were dry underneath and the whites were uncooked on top. The bacon overcooked and the sausage was as dry as sawdust. Won't be going back.

The chicken Kiev was slightly undersized for a 25bprive tag and although reception at the cafe was great rhe bar staff were decidedly short tempered and unfriendly.

Finally tried the Red Lion.i don't know what's going on in pub food in Ballarat they charge top dollar for just ok food.look elsewhere. The owners no the food is second rate.

Great food and lovely service. They allowed my pup to join us in the undercover deck area and even welcomed her with her own bowl of water. The food was delicious! We all travelled from the South East and am contemplating the drive again just for the food yum! Thanks for a wonderful lunch experience?

Absolutely fantastic restaurant meals! The steaks are to die for & the salads are seriously super sized, with a great selection of ingredients. Table service was excellent.

I went here to try my luck on the Pokies but unfortunately it's exactly the same as the rest. Not one feature or win and lost all my money in a short time. When will these place realise that if they gave a little back in return then maybe we would hang around for a while and buy a couple of drinks or maybe even a meal.

Had dinner there on Sat night, it was fantastic as well as the staff and atmosphere.

Had dinner in bar tonight Feb 6th 20,3 of us had chick parma, and was extremly diissapointed compared to 3 mths ago, basically was just dried up rubbish not worth the expense.

After reading the many great reviews about this place decided to check it out. You should expect to spend 2.5-3 hours in this place if you ordered the 8 courses meal. Pretty expensive too ($180) so I would say go here if you really want to get the experience and have both the money and time to waste, otherwise do another restaurant caused I felt the price is a bit excessive given the portions they provided.

Another good place, similar to many others. (It doesn't stand out)
A little pricey, but the standards are good. Not overly noisy, but not quiet either. The piped music is inescapable.

Didn't "do" the restaurant part, but the poor peoples part (bar meals that is) was quite acceptable, along with the service.

The service and meal was amazing. The staff were very friendly. Definitely give the red lion a try!

Enormous burgers - couldn't quite finish mine. Tasty food and decent beer. Ambience a little pedestrian, but decent place for a pub lunch.

Excellent facilities and great atmosphere, meals were very enjoyable and decently sized portions the only disappointing thing was the variety on the menu. Would definitely recommend a visit or stay any time of day.

Great food, great service. Fish and Chips could have been hotter, but still delicious. Chicken breast was Devine. And the brownie, definitely enough to share. YUM!
