We dined there yesterday and was extremely impressed. Our waiter Jeremy was fantastic, couldn’t fault him. We were particularly impressed how he remembered our seven chosen dishes at once without using a note pad - very dedicated! The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be coming back.

A birthday lunch for 16 plus 4 bunnies was exceptional. Food and service was great and everyone made special comment on how enjoyable it all was.many thanks to Cathy for helping with the booking and welcoming us on the day and especial thanks to Cassie who looked after the group during our time there with great rapport with everyone including the bunnies.
Highly recommend Rare Hare. Many thanks again.

Our lunchtime arrival was greeted with a happy face from every single staff working, and the food was beyond belief.

Very poor service - we had a waitress for about the first 15 minutes of our booking and then she disappeared and no one served us until we were ready to pay.

Asked for a table closer to the window and was refused because we didn’t book far enough in advance (booked 2 months earlier), even though the table was free at the time we asked.

Food was nice but service was lacking and the total experience was average.

Excellent ambience and service in the 'wine barrel' area. The food was outstanding and it was great to be back. We live in Red Hill so it will be our 'go to' place for ourselves and visiting family and other guests.

Cellar door and restaurant. Top quality food, wine AND a good selection of beers!
Different menu of 'small bites' with a huge variety so something for everyone. Really high quality delicious food.
Great selection of gluten free (my wife is celiac)
We were served by Will who clearly has a passion for food. He told us in amazing detail everything about the food and when asked, where it was from (which was great!). After he finished he went off with a huge smile - great to see such passion! Thanks Will.

Avoid! Unwelcoming and smug service from both wait staff and what I assumed to be front of house (guy with a mo). The opposite of good hospitality.
Surprisingly bland, boring, unimaginative and stingy food. Cost-cutting is blatantly obvious with very young and unknowledgeable staff and cheap ingredients. Staff couldn't even be bothered describing dishes, though not too hard to see you're eating raw carrots with dukkah on top. Some dishes really bad, especially the apparently chargrilled squid- zero taste, really awful.
Should've listened to the locals and gone elsewhere. "Rare hare- anywhere but there! " Now I get it.
Go to see the impressive jackalope statue out front and good design if you must, then leave and go somewhere welcoming with good service and good food.
Really poor effort guys. Really disappointing and spoiled our day. Would definitely recommend to avoid this place.

Second time here. Amazing food and service, great food and not over 6 priced given the amazing quality.

Booked a table for two to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. They catered superbly with our special dietary requirements. Excellent service and attention to detail. Wine was pretty good too!

Friendly cellar door staff for those still learning about wine. Try the chocolate chip cookie desert. OMG.

Undoubtedly the location and surroundings are picture perfect. A fantastic communal trestle table style setup accompanied with excellent service, food and of course wine makes for a trip worth doing to visit Rare Hare. Having gone on a Thursday it wasn't as busy as normal but in turn allows you to slow down, enjoy the restaurant and take it all in. Definitely worth doing.

NOT WORTH THE VISIT
Don't bother. Wine is no where worth the hype and the staff (female blonde) thinks she's too good to serve customers and refuses to apologize for her mistake and rather deny all knowledge. Really disappointed as was hoping for a good visit.

I loved this place. Didn't eat but had a lovely Pinot Noir at a table outside overlooking the vineyard after a tasting. Super friendly staff, chatty but not overpowering. Can't wait to eat there on my next visit.

Good food and good service, but the noise was terrible. Very loud bum bum bum comming out af the loudspeaker, so it was impossible to talk together.

Five ladies had the most wonderfully delectable shared lunch & afternoon at Rare Hare just yesterday!
Service was amazingly friendly and effortless, congratulations to the owners firstly on choice of staff but the whole ambience, seating & surrounds is first choice. The lawn area with bar & entertainment was fantastic. I am certainly bringing family & friends back there!
Was served a particularly nice wine by none other than Australian Crawl legend, hello. James Reyne!

Really delicious tapas, especially the mushrooms and scallop special of the day. Woodfired chocolate chip cookie and Monica & Chandler Bing cocktail were excellent.
