Rapture Cafe

Absolutely delicious! Me and my family went here today, it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten.
I got a Eggs Benedict and the egg was yolky and the ham was very tasty.
100% recommend, me and my family will come back soon.

Really delicious breakfast, great coffee, value for money and friendly staff highly recommended rapture cafe.

Not recommend, worst customer service from That Sri Lankan guy near coffee bar and he doesn't know how to talk customers.management need to take a action.

Was here years ago with my baby girl then and returned today however wasn’t impressed at all. From the cleanliness of the table, the quality of the food to the level of the service, none of them were comparable to the experience that we had before. The giant sausage roll was dry and obviously microwaved not freshly baked/heated in the oven. The meat inside was dry too and the salad was sour and hard to bite. I think we probably won’t be back here again.
I’m really hoping that the owner will take my feedback in a positive way and look into improving the quality of the food instead. Overall this is an open platform for sharing genuine opinions.

We sort of stumbled on this place. We have driven past it probably hundreds of times and never noticed it. Located right in the heart of Ferntree Gully (opposite the cemetery, but don’t let that deter you) we found it bright, open with cheery welcoming staff. Large enough to cater for larger groups as well. Good menu plus nice variety of cakes/pastries Etc. Nice place for just a coffee, brekky or lunch. Now that we’ve “discovered” it, we’ll be back.

We order watched two other family’s walk in and get there breakfast my partner went up and asked where our breakfast was and they said it coming. When we got it. It was cold and the fact the staff don’t care about any problems. First time there and last. You want to charge premium for breakfast the customer want a premium breakfast and service.

Whilst the food was fairly standard, though I quite enjoyed the schnitzel panini, the service was absolutely fantastic. We were there with a 4 year old and toddler which as you can imagine are quite the handful but the staff were so friendly and patient even not minding when we were trying to round up the children while they were packing up. The play area is a great addition and wish more places have that space.

They offer good food, great coffee, lots of treats and even a dedicated playroom! The playroom is not sparkly new, and the toys are worn but the kids didn't complain. They were kept occupied while we enjoyed brunch. Lots of books, building blocks, blackbords, chairs and table for drawing. There are even bench seats in the playroom for adults to sit down and catchup. Plenty of seating ranging from casual communal tables, stools overlooking the road, standard tables and even couches out the back. Toilets in site and parking is available on the gravelled space next door.

Sorry to say but our Sunday breakfast fell far short of our expectations. Food was extremely bland, unseasoned and cooked without love, the poached eggs had been cooked with far too much vinger in the water and the topped with alfalfa resulting in a mix of flavours that overpowered the eggs. Added bacon to my meal for $5 and received one lonely piece of flavourless bacon. Coffee was OK but not great unfortunately.

I was just looking for a place to eat brekkie.
I walked to the front counter and asked for a menu. I was asked to take a seat and someone would take my order.
I sat at my table and waited.
And waited.
And waited.
In the meantime, two of the three girls were chatting and laughing, ignoring the fact I was patiently waiting.
A fellow came in behind me and ordered at the counter, took a seat and was eventually served with his meal. It was at this time I stood up and went to the counter, expressed my dissatisfaction with the service and left.
The other girl tried to tell me that you have to order at the counter but why, then, would you be ushered to a seat only to have to get up again.
The service/ communication was poor and I think I would have continued to wait until I died of old age and wouldn’t have been noticed until my corpse has begun to rot and smell.
I found another little bakery around the corner who’s staff greeted me with a smile and were happy to take my order.

Heard about this place a long time ago when it first opened. Friends gave it a good rap up. After coming back into area tried it. Good service and tasty meal. Will go back.

I’m a serial coffee and cafe guy. Rapture is my go to for quality service and price. Some say I’m fussy about my coffee but I’ve never been disappointed at Rapture and to top it off the staff are alway happy to please, if you haven’t been there yet your missing out! Definitely recommended…

So rude 4 staff behind the counter no one in queue we stood there waiting and waiting for someone to serve us they all looked but not one acknowledged us in any way
We left. Never returning there. Walked around the corner two other cafes to chose from

Friendly staff. Prompt service however I ordered the same meal I had back on July and it easn't as good this time, portion was smaller and not as well presented

A real hidden gem. Superb food, generous servings and the staff are lovely. Can recommend the home-made lentil burger

My experience is different to most. It was raining and my special needs client and l were looking for shelter and a young lady at Rapture seeing we were stranded opened the Cafe door and invited us in out of the rain. While l was waiting for the rain to stop I had time to look at & smell the beautiful food on offer.my mouth was drooling! When we're not in lockdown this place is usually packed to the rafters which would indicate it's good!
