Railway Hotel

We could not have picked a better place to host my wife’s “significant” birthday. The service was impeccable, food outstanding and the environment created in the first floor private room was perfect. A special thanks to Susie, Bryce and Neve who went over and beyond to make the day special for Anna and our 65 guests. We continue to receive messages of congratulations and glowing remarks about the day.

Food was standard nothing special. Service was a little stuck up, very noisy a little overrated

Amazing eye fillet and red wine jus, so full of flavour, awesome mash too. Forgot to take a photo. Great service. Highly recommend

Liam's services was impeccable, this guy will go place's best customer service, will definitely be back again.

Nice local pub, friendly atmosphere.

Great upstairs open area to sit and drink or even have dinner.

There's vegetarian options limited but they do exist. Tues is Parma night $18. Had the Mediterranean Parma for the first time. Great deal.

This is my local, great food and recently got a facelift. Usually go for the chicken Parma which never disappoints. Nice big screen upstairs showing whatever sport is on.

The food came out late, and when asked if they have extra chilli numerous times - the waitress said no without checking (while my dish, the linguine pasta had visible chilli). When asked for Tabasco, the waitress said no, despite there being a full fledged bar that would presumably serve a Bloody Mary. Finally, the waitress agreed to check with the kitchen and came out with some sort of chilli sauce.

The food is good, shame about the hospitality.

Great deck upstairs. Good selection of beer. Food menu was interesting and the fried chicken was great.

The parma that we had was not that good. Even the salad on the side was not well seasoned. The food service was too slow. Cutleries were dirty.

Tables too close. I felt like I was part of 2 other couples. This was despite dining room only 1/4 full and no reserved signs. We left without ordering. Disappointing.

Was great to see the hotel cleaned up and renovated. Compared to previous menus it was limited but not a real issue.friendly staff. I had the lobster tail and prawn cutlett linguine.flavour was nice chard with chilli.and nice cheese but for a $34 + meal it was disappointing that only had. 4 prawns and a tough rubbery and un eatable lobster tail.all seafood was way over cooked.

Went to the Railway for lunch today and had the lamb ragu pasta and lobster tail linguine. Both were delicious and will definitely return!

Both items I wanted Pork belly and lemon squash not available. What pub doesn't have lemon squash? Was super noisy couldn't hear each other talk. Meal was ok but over priced for what it was.
We tried we won't return

Best steak sandwich I’ve ever had in my life, and the service from the young women working there left 5 star restaurants for dead. But the icing on the cake was when the following day I couldn’t find my purse, so I called there to see if that’s where I left it, not only was it there, but so was every cent I had in there, as well as all my credit cards which was kept safely in their office until I arrived to collect it.

Good bar but jeez, it's bloody loud! Get some noise cancelling panels in there please.

Went back after renovations were completed, very disappointed with the fish and chips meal. What happened to the great fat chips and crispy fresh coleslaw that was previously on the menu with fish and chips meal? Instead, we had straw chips and a miserable sad salad. I won't be back

I loved the pork belly it wasn't just crunchy it was so mouth watering. It was well priced the staff friendly the atmosphere was something else the smell of frsh paint the renovations I'm definitely going back

New lunch specials are a joke. Used to be really good but now you only get the meals as a size of a starter.

The security and bar staff are friendly, nice patrons. But this was my ‘eye fillet’ (see photo) aka dry roulade of beef.
