This is truly an amazing place to stay. Rooms are large with great views. Restaurant was beautiful with delicious food.

The most INCREDIBLE experience! From checking in and receiving a complimentary upgrade, getting to the room to find champagne on arrival. The resort itself is absolutely stunning as are all amenities on site. We were super relaxed the whole time. Buffet Breakfast absolutely outstanding and the customer service from every single person we came into contact with was first class. Looking forward to many more visits and a big thank you for such an amazing stay!

Great golf course. Couple of suggestions would be to have steps into the bunkers to assist many golfers with arthritis and other conditions. A picture of the layout of each hole in the tee box would also assist. Food is a bit expensive. $10 for a small bowl of chips is over the odds.

Peaceful place with helpful and nice staff. We had a little bit of problem regarding the ocean view room and the main building that was quickly sorted out by reception staff. It sounded like a misunderstanding during booking, but the experience of accommodation at the resort is outstanding.

Wonderful and remote resort, great facilities, very good breakfast, friendly staff and various accommodation options. Recommended stay 2+ nights as the surrounding area has a lot to offer.

Fantastic resort with great facilities including the spa, sauna, pool, golf course and the room, which was very new and spacious with lovely views. We dined at Cape restaurant, sampling some of the best food we've ever had, especially the seafood mains and the outstanding desserts. The restaurant staff are young, friendly, helpful and keen to please. Our dinner at Cape restaurant was definitely a five star experience. We would recommend RACV Cape Schanck Resort as the perfect holiday destination for both couples, and families.

Such a hidden gem. This family orientated golf resort is set in a national park just kilometres from the ocean. With two pools, bbq areas, games rooms, jumping sand castles and outdoor play area for the kids and a Spa, golf, dining areas, jacuzzi this place comes with a real touch of luxury for the adults. You can either stay in the main hotel or nab yourself one of the suites, villas or very affordable ocean view rooms which are situated in separate smaller buildings. RACV Cape has been in the works for over 15 years since it took 10 years to get permission to build and a further 5 years to actually construct it, recently opening this year in May 2018. Not to be missed!

Stayed one night and got a complimentary upgrade from a villa to the main hotel, not sure if the standard of accommodation was the upgrade or the fact I wouldn't have to walk up to the main building for the amenities. Either way, an upgrade is a bonus!
The hotel is top notch, the decor has the feel of a modern establishment.
Room was very modern, and comfortable, with a million pillow choices.
There was a pop up restaurant where we had a top quality meal we have recently eaten at Hestons place in Crown and this would compare favourably.
Buffet breakfast in the main restaurant was above standard, with all the usual plus sweet treats that you dont usually get.
Large indoor pool with large spa, sauna, gym.

Never had time to try the day spa or the golf course, but they would have surely been top quality in line with the rest of the place.

Will return, for a longer stay.

The new section (2018) is fantastic. Beautifully designed, great amenities in general. The restaurant is fantastic - one of the best meals we have had.

The resort is let down by two key factors:
1) the “old part” is of a substantially lower standard, and far less convenient. It’s a bit of a walk or drive for a start, doesn’t have the same atmosphere, isn’t built as well and has no room service. The differential needs to be better explained at booking.
2) the (new) pool is FAR too hot to actually exercise in. The water temperature is bad enough; but manageable if the ambient air weren’t also like a sauna. Unless you want the Bikram Yoga equivalent of swimming, this is an unmitigated disaster. It’s far worse than the City Club (which is bad enough) and completely antithecal to Torquay (which is arguably too cold! Although I don’t mind it).

If you go to the effort of building a 25m semi-competition standard pool, don’t optimise it for octagenarians who sit next to it and don’t even go in. They can use the sauna if they really want to get warm.

The rooms are lovely and the food is delicious. The outdoor pool was a beautiful tenperature and the view was stunning. My main concern was that the rooms not at the main building did feel a bit cut off from the hotel and its services. The shuttle bus helps but small things like room service being unavailable did put a dampener on the experience. I would also suggest having more wait staff at the restaurant as service was often slow and inattentive. There is also quite a large mark up on the wine. That being said, it was an enjoyable stay and a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We have arrived, beautiful views SW down the coast from the older but comfortably appointed rooms. We bought a "gourmet" package for the weekend. It's taken four phone calls and asking staff on arrival (who didn't know) to find out that this package excluded us from half the menue.
The information in the on screen compendium relating to the local area and activities, is very lacking. Theres insufficient info on resort factlities, location, access etc, it doesn't mention the spa adjacent the indoor pool. The most basic possible. Pretty useless really. Heading up for dinner soon, may update tomorrow.
