RACV Cape Schanck Resort reviews
51Great facility, great staff, great food. The multilayer Tiramisu is gold. Good size playground with a huge jumping pillow, pretty rare in Vic. Highly recommended
Magnificent sunsets and full moon at the resort. Warm, genuine, friendly service from the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurants. With fresh local produce used for a most delicious dinner menu. Can't wait to be back.
A great place to relax.
One of the best hotels/ resorts we have been to. Our room was in the main building, was of decent size, clean, equipped with large modern TV, Nspresso coffee machine. Awesome great views and great room service from a professional well managed staff.
The amenities are just as fantastic, we loved the indoor heated pool, the spa and sauna.
The gym is very well equipped.
Our kids loved the games room which included a table tennis, billiards table, basketball game and pinball.
Restaurant is nice for lucnh and dinner.
Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Tennis court was available, you can ask for rackets and balls from the reception or bring your own.
Undercover car park.
It was peaceful and quiet and we would love to go there again.
Awesome overall and highly recommended.
Great place to stay. The view from the main building was beautiful. There many facilities and the golf course looks really good.
Architecturally beautiful building, great views of the native landscape, golf course and distant ocean. Well placed to visit beaches and golf courses.
Food is high quality but service was very slow, unsure if this is the norm or not. Examples during a 3 night stay included waiting 30 minutes for a beer (asked waiter three times), half hour wait for cooked breakfast every day and generally very slow table service.
Potentially a new and inexperienced crew, seemed to be a lot of waiters and waitresses. Maybe it's a training venue?
However this is overall a minor downside of a great hotel in a great location with great food. Recommended.
It is a relatively new hotel at Cape Schank with beautiful views and golf courses. The breakfast had huge variety of food accomodating all different diets and tastes. There were fresh fruits and salads as well as English and continental breakfast. The swimming pool and the spa does not disappoint. The rooms were spacious, cleam with amazing cleaning service and great quality amenities. It was very refreshing to see a lot of parking spaces despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked with events and wedding receptions. Love it. Highly recommend it. We stayed and had a dinner there which was great. Just a small remark if the check out time can be moved to 12 o'clock instead of 10 in the future as we felt rashed to leave the hotel.
Great location and amazing view, we stayed a night on the ocean view room. The room was large and clean and the view on these ocean view room are amazing.
We had dinner at the Cape restaurant which was also great! Breakfast was also served at the same restaurant and was good.
•each member of staff I met was welcoming, friendly and helpful.
•room was very expensive however very clean and comfortable - hadn't realized that our accommodation was away from the main building so was glad we had fine weather to travel back and forth
•food at the restaurant faultless!
Absolutely amazing resort. Only stayed here 2 nights but really wish we'd stayed longer. We had an ocean view room, the view of the sunset was beautiful. Our room was large, clean and had everything in that we required. Lovely infinity pool & Jacuzzi area. Main hotel was really clean, ate here one evening, just a few bar snacks & few beers. Staff are so friendly and attentive.
Hotel is in a good location for people looking to travel along the Mornington Peninsula.
We splashed out on a deluxe room to enjoy an anniversary weekend. While the staff and facilities were great our room was terrible. Our views were interrupted by extremely dirty windows that seemed to have never been cleaned (pics attached). House keeping were below average, leaving our old dirty towels on the floor. A really disappointing experience. We will be looking elsewhere for our next break.
Very good facilities, beautiful place and service was ok. Busy weekend with wedding and events, clearly overwhelming the staff and services. However, it is somehow difficult to accept the" harassment" by intense knocking on the door after breakfast asking us to vacate the room (check out time apparently 10am? Absolutely ridiculous for the price you pay. The "dreamy late wake up and brunch" at weekends is utterly unheard of there. Even after specifically requested late check out (as we had a special event) we were disturbed by a very rude Manager, who came to argue with us at the door demanding the room after 10 min. Who on Earth will want to come and pay a lot to have half morning with early rashed breakfast and disturbed relax by the rude Senior staff?
The restaurant was very crowded at breakfast time. We had to wait in a long queue to get a table, the service was slow and we had to wait for the empty food trays to be filled up. It was not our ideal place to spend our weekend. Not sure i would consider visiting again.
The pool was great, but we had to use it after we checked out, which was not ideal when you would like to relax after visiting swimming and spa facilities.
Great golf course, fantastic facilities. Much higher standard than you'd expect from a run of the mill RACV resort.
Located in the wilderness of mornington peninsula, beautiful view of ocean from the drive way to resort.
I did not hate this place as suggested by the question. Why should I answer any more questions by the negative attribute of the last question?
Amazing resort great views and amenities. Buffet breakfast highly recommend. The racv badges on the waiters at dinner is a bit hokey.
Spent the night at this nice new modern hotel and could not fault it. All the hotels amenities were clean and maintained, staff were very friendly from the check in to the wait staff. Plenty of undercover parking to wich is a bonus. Buffet breakfast was also a big win! Definitely will return
Awesome place. Great facilities, especially for kids. Had 2 great games rooms, where everything is free, jumping pillow, playground with flying fox, plus pools and spas - and free parking. Amazing breakfast! Be careful when you book though as the ocean view rooms are in separate villas a few mins walk from the main building. We were caught out with that.
Expensive but good accommodation. Paid extra for breakfast which was excellent for a buffet. They lose a star for charging extra for coffee with breakfast. Of all the places I have stayed at, this was the first.
If I could give you zero stars I would- you lied to the locals advising they would be allowed to use the new facilities then reneged on your promise. Now locals can’t even book in the restaurant in a Friday or Saturday night nor can they even buy a newspaper! This is the only RACV Resort that does not welcome locals nor RACV members. This disgraceful double cross will definitely come back to bite you as the locals all have large wallets and even larger network groups- big mistake- HUGE!
What an amazing building. Staff are very friendly. Great pricing as well. We received a great room with a fantastic view. Two thumbs up.
