Princess Theatre reviews
63Amazing theatre- however more toilets and booking of drinks and snacks at 1/2 time would be more helpful given COVID social distancing
We travelled down from Sydney to watch the Harry Potter production. WOW! The play itself was absolutely fantastic and standing ovation worthy! The theatre was just beautiful! You could really feel the history and elegance of such a grand theatre! Although the Harry Potter production had its own carpet and wallpaper and other quirky touches added to the theatre it was just beautiful! Would love to come back down for another show in this beautiful arena!
A truly wonderful experience, beware the worn marble stairs they are a bit wider than your average and I saw a few tumbles, the amenities are clean if a little cramped and the chairs arent the greatest, but you aren't going to notice if what you watch is good.if you take beverages in, I suggest a bottle as there is nowhere to rest your cup.parking near by is easy offered by wilson and during intermission there are plenty of choices near for a quick bite.
AMAZING! Besides the play being fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable with repeat viewing appeal, the staff at the Princess Theatre are complimentary jewels in the crown of Victoria's theatre district.
Beautiful theatre conveniently located within the Melbourne CBD. Seating process was very quick and efficient, staff helpful and friendly
Beautiful cinema in the heart of Melbourne city. Currently showing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Highly recommended play but if you do decide to go it is best to get seats up near the Centre and Front. We sat middle aisle row E and reckon we’re the best seats. There are some effects which utilize the whole theatre and those seats meant we were amongst the magic
It was a fantastic experience. We watched Harry Potter show and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend it to anyone. Please don't miss it.
Harry Potter was worth every dollar. Truly wonderful and memorable experience. Princess Theatre is a perfect venue for it.
Enjoyed the Cursed child here, fantastic show. Seats are narrow and leg room is tight. It is an old theatre though so you expect that.
Thanks you for giving the light in the darkness. Was very special to see the live streaming this morning in NYC hoping one day yo get to your beautiful theatre to see the show. And to get a lot of the souvenirs program and and treat when visiting
Lovely theater. The bar on level 2 is always empty before a show so go there instead of standing in drinks queues!
Great show and location. Beautiful architecture inside. Perfect for the Harry Potter shows. Would definitely come back to Melbourne for future shows there.
Historic venue set in the cbd of Melbourne. Seating was a little cramped and hard to sit for several hours.
I couldn’t tell you much about the show as we had to leave. We paid $310 each for tickets where you are so cramped you feel like you are sat on top of the person next to you. My back is still hurting the next day from having my knees under my chin. Having so many people squeezed into such a small space should surely hit some kind of health and safety issues in these times.
Good facility. Plenty of seating.
Saw Harry Potter and the cursed child here.fantastic show with magical effects and awesome actors. Fun for the whole family.
I watched the harry potter play here. It was just pure amazing! The theatre is developed in all ways to support the play, and the play itself is magnificent. All the characters were so well into there role, the magic was so very well created and after the play you will feel like you really live in a magical world. A must visit for anyone who is looking for some adventure in the magical world! P. S book tickets in advance you can get it cheeper ️
Saw The Cursed Child here. Fantastic theatre, great staff, a great piece of history manifesting all of its current show
Fantastic performance of The Cursed Child, theatre was well decorated for the show, would recommend to anyone who likes Harry Potter
$6.5 million dollar upgrade. Could have installed comfortable seats. Besides that beautiful theatre top to bottom.
Incredible refurbishment of this old theatre. Specifically for Harry Potter. Stunning decor with Hogwarts themes.
