Portone Wood Fired Pizza & Bar

This is my favourite St Kilda secret Pizza place! The wood fire pizzas are saaaa good with that really authentic in house made dough and the setting is even cuter, tucked away for only those true locals who know, know! Definitely my No1 place in Port Phillip to go to if I’m feeling like a pizza or wanna impress friends whom are visiting! They all rate it.get into it!

I ordered through Uber, the delivery driver only had my food for 5 min the pizza was stone cold when it arrived. The driver said he had to bang on the window as they closed but still took my order. He could see my pizza sitting on the bench. They don't care about their customers as they can see how long the driver is from pick up. Just another business grabbing yr money with no care of the consumer. Shame on you.

Excellent woodfired pizza in very comfortable surroundings. Big servings and lots of choices. Salads, sites and desserts also available. They have vegan cheese so there are plenty of choices for plant based eating and there are also gluten free options. You can have wine too. I really like this place - I can see it becoming a regular place to visit as I am a local. Highly recommended!

This was the first pizza place I went to when I first moved to the area 5 years ago and after sampling various others in the surrounding suburbs I always seem to be comparing them to Portone! Their wood fire pizza's are to die for with that smokiness flavour coming through the base.the toppings are always well portioned and always super fresh.

A personal favourite of mine is the Salumi.

Their wings and bbq sauce are also a nice appetiser if you're a big eater like myself.

Ordering to wait times are usually accurate (I pick up my pizza) and staff are always friendly.

Recommend this place for a beautiful pizza.

What a gem of a place. Pizzas are awesome, drink variety is great, and the staff are cool.
Wear a jacket as it's undercover (inside an arcade), but outside. There are heaters though. Book ahead if you want to guarantee a spot, particularly for groups.

Front of house service was great, checking with the kitchen for my food intolerances.
The pizza was terrible. There was too much undercooked cheese and hardly any pumpkin topping. It was very salty, so I think they crumbled the feta into dust through the mozzarella. The base was nice and thin. It looked nothing like the photo on uber eats.

Fantastic pizza, I had the rustico and it was perfect. The pizza came out fast even though it was busy, and the waitress was lovely.

Great pizza and great wine list. Had a wonderful dinner with my bros here. Jimmy is a ledge- Matani says hi.

Great food, Peroni Red beer, friendly service, and a great band (the Keynes Brothers) in the courtyard!

Not recommended. Photos and videos are misguiding. Not worth for the money. It’s very small place. They can atlst improve the taste. We visited Melbourne and traveled from all the way from Docklands. The whole experience was really disappointing.

Delicious wood fired pizza! Had the prosciutto and gorongolza pizza, chicken wings and roquette salad. Very friendly service and nice music. Will definitely be back

Gorgeous wood fired pizza, fresh toppings, bubbly crispy crusts, great staff, quirky atmosphere & $7 Shiraz! You cannot beat this place.great live music in the background with a really cool market vibe. We've been here so many times and it never disappoints

The pizza here is amazing! We stumbled across Portone Pizza last year and now we don’t go anywhere else for pizza in Melbourne. Nice atmosphere and great service too. Jimmy always goes out of his way to give top notch service. Highly recommend!

This is a little hidden Gem! We just moved to the area and wondered around Carlisle Street for a new pizza place when we found Portone in a little laneway. The new business owner (Who’s name we’re unsure of) was such a lovely family man and assisted us with choosing the right wine to go with our Pizzas. The food is delicious and the customer service is just as good. Highly recommend checking the place out!

Came here with the family last weekend, we had a beautiful evening and will definitely be back regularly. Incredible food and amazing service- highly recommend!

Excellent wood fired pizza oozing with cheese. Cosy ambience and delicious food. Highly recommended! As you step in the restaurant you are welcomed by friendly staff and incredible aroma of pizza. We ordered Bufalina Magherita pizza and Roqutte pear salad. Pizza crust was crisp & flavourful and salad was so refreshing. Excellent experience!
This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night.

Really excellent pizzas and service from all staff. Also really appreciated the radio while I waited for my food to arrive.
