Best pizza I've had in a while! Absolutely amazing food, they've absolutely nailed the basics for a no fuss, delicious pizza. The shop has a very nice ambience too. Would definitely recommend!

It's tucked away in a weird little shopping arcade in Balaclava which resulted in a few interesting characters wandering straight past the tables. There was nothing outstanding about the place, the food was nice but can probably get something equally as good for cheaper.

• Make a booking in advance if possible.

• Layer up your clothes if you are visiting in cold weather. There is no in door dining area. Only outside sitting in with a heater.

• Tried vegetarian pizza, rose wine, shared pear salad. They were all yummy.

• I was gonna order chicken wings and bread too lol I was glad I didn't. The pizza itself was enough for me.

Good pizzas with very tasty base and ingredients were very fresh. Definitely will be back soon.

I absolutely love Portone Pizza! It has quickly become my go-to pizza spot in St Kilda. The wood-fired pizzas they serve are simply divine. The crust is perfectly crisp, and the flavours are out of this world.
What sets Portone Pizza apart from other pizzerias is the occasional live performances they host. It adds such a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere to the place. I love indulging in the live entertainment while waiting for my pizza. It truly makes the whole experience more memorable and exciting.

When it comes to their pizzas, I have two all-time favourites that I can't recommend enough. The Carne Pizza is a carnivore's dream come true. The combination of perfectly seasoned meats creates an explosion of flavours in every bite. And then there's the Salumi Pizza, which showcases a selection of Italian cured meats that perfectly complement the wood-fired crust. These pizzas are culinary masterpieces that keep me coming back for more.

I also do not like luke warm soggy pizza and I don't like waiting around outside for it while it's going cold in a box.

Delicious wood fired pizza with great variety. Very Friendly and professional staff, at front and in the kitchen.

Terrible. Don’t recommend their pizzas at all (super soggy). Wet pizza base that hadn’t been cooked through, messy toppings and bad customer service. Apparently in speaking to friends, this is pretty standard. Super disappointing as had been hoping this local place would be the one!

I have tried so many woordfire pizza places and this is the best I have ever had. The pizza dough is really nice and puffy with fresh toppings, good selection of wines. My pick would be to try their Pinot Noir. This place has a lot of warmth with beautiful vertical garden sort of setup and staff are friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this place to everyone and suggest to dine in there to get the best experience.

Ordered 4 pizzas, received 2 stone cold, soggy pizzas. Called and spoke to the most rude, revolting person. Didn’t ask my name/order just rudely snapped that she had sent all my pizzas and it was the Uber driver who “stole” them. Will never order again!

This restaurant has just become our favorite pizza place. The pizzas are just so fresh and cooked to perfection. Happy to be a regular!

Great food and incredible service -

Last weekend Uber Eats didn't have any delivery partners to fulfil my order. Jimmy the owner contacted me directly to apologise for the delay as the restaurant was closing, but offered to personally drop the food down to me. He cancelled the order so I would get a refund, refused to take a tip when he arrived with the food and offered free drinks to myself and my girlfriend if we wanted to ever come and dine-in.

5 Stars - best service from a top restaurant, with an owner who clearly values his customers.

I had rustica pizza on monday night, the pizza was absolutely sensational. One of the best pizza i have ever had in my life. Good on this place.
