PJ O'Brien's Irish Pub

This is a great pub, serves great meals and a good range of beverages. Just not during peak times (weekend nights and after/drying sporting events) it does get very busy and laid and becomes standing room only very quickly. But this is fairly standard fair for an Irish pub and still a very enjoyable place to go with a group of friends. Have been there many times staff and service are great.

Wed special of $20 for a porterhouse with guiness butter and a glass of wine/pot of guiness. A decent sized steak with great value for a meal. Service to order is usually rather slow as there are only one or two waitresses mending the entire floor and can be rather difficult to get their attention. It gets rather crowded during dinner time as well.

I am primarily writing this review based on their embarrassing excuse for a steak night. Don't do it. By far the worst "steak" I've ever had in my life. All three of our steaks were overcooked, fatty and so tough I couldn't even cut through it. Completely inedible. Decent bar otherwise if you're looking for a dark Irish pub to have a drink in the winter.

Great food, great atmosphere. Were very busy but still were served quickly. Prices are reasonable for food and beverages. Highly recommended

Attended this venue Friday 24th and Saturday 25th August 2018 good vibe great live music

Only down side is not a lot of dance room near stage when quite busy otherwise great

Also enjoyed a nice alcohol Furphy's on tap as well a few times over the weekend

open late will go again

Great place for either a drink or with food their parmas are fantastic. This place gets packed but the staff there are always very accommodating to your needs Highly recommend especially if heading to a show or to footy

Food was good, I had the fish and chips, partner had the steak, both enjoyed it, prices were reasonable and the service was great
