Feels like going to your friends place for drinks only there's a live band/ or solo singer guitarist, a friendly crowd, a great menu and exceptional staff.

Nice spot for a lunch catch-up, after work drinks or an all nighter.

They separate the interior into a bistro and bar. A few booths, lots of historical decorations and a large well serviced bar.

Noisy and seating can be a bit cramped but amazing food and drink. Service is also great. Well worth the visit if you can come in a less busy time.

Never disappoints. A amazing establishment and great polite staff who can't help you out enough. Love the Irish theme and music, especially musician Marty Kelly.

A very snug little bar near the CBD. It's always got a great vibe to it and makes you feel at home.

Clean pub with welcoming staff. Food was okay. The batter wasn't quite cooked on my wife's fish while my Ceasar salad was delicious. Guinness was good. Reasonably expensive but pub is in a prime spot.

Visited on a Friday, no one at the entrance for seating, server 1 just ignored us, the bartender ignored as well, bartender 2 told us to just sit 'wherever' without offering a menu. Left because of no service.

Great selection of whisky. The team are very knowledgeable as well. Of the 200+ they have I'm stock, made the perfect suggestions. Prices were very reasonable as well

Myself and another couple (one of whom was pregnant so was completely sober.and the rest of us sober too just after finishing dinner) went to pjs tonight as one of my friends in the couple enjoys their pints and the bouncers wouldn’t let us in as they said it was closing soon.fair enough, however they proceeded to let two other people in, immediately after us.completely unfair and rude, however very glad they did because I wouldn’t want to go to an over priced bar in a dark mall anyway.

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Best Irish stew that I've tasted in years. I can highly recommend P. J O' Briens Irish Pub.

Good value pub meal on Southbank. Nice British pub decor. Great staff. Excellent service. Some well done traditional Irish food on the menu as well as the usual pub offerings. Not too expensive. A new favourite in the city for me.

So disappointed in the place after opening up after covid, told us to leave after we had 3 pints, thought we were too drunk which was completely wrong.we will never set foot in the place again and that's coming from irish people that have been supporting them the last few years.

Worked for these guys last year for a wee bit and was made to make a deposit for a wristband i needed to log in to things. I was told this would be refunded but it never was. Its getting close to a year since I left them and I have been in twice asking for it back to where the supervisor, Catherine Ross, and the GM, Ceire Quinn, told me they would get on to it, which of course they didn't. Having moved back to NZ I decided to get in touch with the payroll team, namely Mel Steen, who were initially helpful to the point where they asked for my details in order to make an international transfer. I sent them roughly a month ago with numerous follow up emails to which I have received no reply. It's not a huge amount of money but it's incredibly poor business practice and I thought this might happen when I started because I found it odd that they would take a deposit "incase" I lost it. Why not just deduct the money if I do lose it?

This place is good for st patrick day, nice mood, a pint for 9 the cheapest, and live music, the staff is great, the attention its very kind! They give you a guiness caps and hats, it's near to flinders station, cheers!

Love coming here. Great atmosphere on game event nights and the live music is awesome. Usually packed and customers are friendly and well behaved with good security. Food is availabele but I haven't tried it yet.

Guaranteed a great time here! From their perfect pint of Guinness, superb live music and delicious food, definitely one of my favourite Pubs in Melbourne!

Friendly staff and a good ambience. Unfortunately the gents toilets didn't impress me. Bin overflowing with paper towels, no paper towels and the hand drier was defective. Also it wasn't the cleanest toilet I've ever been in. The pub wasn't so busy that someone could have least made an effort to rectify these issues. Other than this it's a very nice wee pub.

It's OK. Maybe I'm just not a pub person, and I was there to escape a rainy day—might as well have a pint of Guiness. Might have left a different first impression if I were there in a more social setting.:)

Was out with some guy friends and the waitress completely ignored me when we were ordering, walked off when I tried to order, and only came back when one of the guys called out to her. Food wasn't all that good, and it costs a bit. Not worth the price.

Do not think the mussels are worthwhile compared to French version, little appealing flavour. Other items perfectly good.
