PJ O'Brien's Irish Pub reviews
67A great place to grab a pint, and catch up with friends/family. Food is fantastic and the Guinness is always fresh
Regular pub fare. Live music is very loud.if not that into it, highly recommend you book in the restaurant section (where we went). Also, ask the wait staff re type of oysters available before ordering so as not to get a shock at the 20c piece sized offerings at $4 each (yes, that's the size of the shells.actual meat is like the top section of your pinkie)
Poor service, with disinterested staff. Left waiting nearly 40 minutes for our food, while other dishes were flying out of the kitchen. It will be a long time again, before we go back.
The parmas are good, the atmosphere is good, the staff friendly, they set up a standing booking for us, and I heartily recommend. Love a lunchtime pub.
Best Irish bar in the city. Friendly staff, great band and everyone is there for a great night. Smiles all round.
This was my favourite Irish Pun in Central Melbourne. However this has changed. Whoever changed the Steak & Guinness pie recipe should be sacked and it's now horrible. The bar staff need a good retraining also, couldn't change a keg and kept forgetting orders. Very disappointed.
Great Food with $20 lunch. In the heart of Southbank yet with guiness in hand and the Irish accent, you feel like you've entered a portal to Ireland.
Went on St Patrick's Day so hard to tell what it would be like normally. Was super crowded but you could still move. Guiness was good. Didn't have snacks available til 4 that day so no idea about food. Stage was super small and in a weird space for a place that prides itself on live music.
My husband & I spent a lovely afternoon here recently & were served by Trisha Teahan who looked after us so very well.
We were quite impressed. Nothing was another to her. She even gave us advice on places to see.
The food was well presented & very tasty.
We will be recommending this place to our friends & people we know who will be holidaying there later In the year.
Trisha is a real Asset to O ' Briens.
Hope to return someday.
What a lovely Irish pub. We were there for their Sunday lunch specials. My friend enjoyed het Sunday roast and i enjoyed my Vegetarian Shepherd Pie. Delish and reasonably priced Love the Irish music, vibes and the staff's beautiful Irish accents. Its a family friendly place for Sunday afternoon. Great service and beautiful fun filled experience
Awful, security gaurd on a power trip ruining a good time with 2 people, one who was our deso for the night kicked out because they looked tired. Will never return and will not ever recommend
Beautiful atmosphere.love the crafted beer & oysters. Good customer service. Its like a hidden gem of a pub amidst the modern Melbourne.
Yeah a higgledy-piggledy spot. Very hot inside. Could do with a rethink and little more care. Open it up
You should try and feel the pub, its really a pub to me,
Hope it will same to you,
Travell by public transport, may relax you from finding car parks,
Also remember towalk and shop around in Crown stores.
Hope you enjoy, if you are keen call and make a reservation.
Neat little corporate hideaway in Southgate. Good for an after work Guinness. Also does decent live music
Reasonable prices, quiet and comfortable (at least in the afternoon on a weekday, I can't speak to any other time).
An der Southbank gelegen. Typischer Irish Pub. Essen schmackhaft. Freundliches Personal, leckeres Bier und der Whiskey des Monats war auch dein Geld wert.
Food was ok and atmosphere pleasant enough but service left a lot to be desired. Waitress was more interested in chatting to blokes at bar.
Went for a birthday celebration. Place is an old fashioned pub but trendy. Food was really nice and there was a good range even for the vegan in our group. Price of food is good. I will return when i return to melbourne
