Pier Farm reviews
77Sign out the font says they are hiring floor staff and kitchen staff. When my wife went in to enquire (as the sign said) he told her "No, what do you need it for" and stared at her. What do you think she is asking about a job for? She walked out. If he is that rude when enquiring, imagine working there
Had a lovely mid-week lunch at Pier Farm, it’s such a gorgeous location right on the water and the food was delicious!
Said they can’t do dessert on a Monday when they was literally zero people inside. Like let me buy your overpriced ice cream geez
Very disappointed with the service.
The waiter that served us was rude and seemed on edge when he went to take our orders. I went to pay and the lady processing the payment didn’t even ask how the meal was or even make eye contact. I would expect a better service given the prices you pay.
The food was above average, so I give it 2 stars. I definitely wouldn’t come back here.
Our wedding reception was absolutely amazing at Pier Farm. The food was delicious and generous portions, the staff were friendly and accomodating. The venue itself is stunning and the deck was well used in the beautiful weather. Thanks to the Pier Farm team for making our day so special and easy!
Most uncomfortable experience we’ve ever had. What seemed to be the owners were quite rude.the man (owner?) seemed stressed and rushed us, when I asked for a window table the woman (owner?) responded with your pram can go here and pointed to a non window table, after ordering my husband took our daughter out for a walk, then the woman (owner?) came over to straighten out the table (put cutlery and plates straight and how it would’ve been when we got there) although the staff were nice and polite, they not once checked in to see if we needed anything. The food was ok, although the cauliflower entree was completely raw. (They took it off the bill when I pointed it out, although had to convince the woman (owner?) of this!)
It’s a shame as it’s a pretty restaurant in a good spot.
Bookings mean nothing to this establishment. Booking made. Booking cancelled. Not Good

My partner and I went here for dinner for the first time tonight. We had a nice time and nothing was particularly wrong, but I would just like to offer some feedback for the owners/managers:
We felt that the time between courses was a little rushed and we would have liked more time to enjoy the food and conversation.
We also found the prices to be quite high for what is essentially elevated pub fare.
This is a beautiful venue with a nice view, but I think there are definitely areas that can be improved.
Amazing fresh seafood. Service is a little awkward at times. But the ambience and wine list complement everything. Thank you
Great ambience and a nicely presented restaurant. Choice of Oysters and Scallops very fresh. My Fish of the day was cooked perfectly
Along with an Italian Pollini Pinot Grigio
Beautiful place, clean with a great view. All staff friendly but one staff in particular appeared to be owner, quite abrupt and rude. Also menu very Boring and limited. MAJORLY OVERPRICED! Such a shame. We won’t be back unfortunately. Lots of places around with a view and less expensive with high quality food.
The venue and decor is beautiful, the food so fresh and light. And I agree with other reviews the owner is the rudest and inhospitable person. Maybe he should let his staff do all the work. If not for him it would be 5 stars
I was looking forward to lunch here with a friend. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Very disappointed in the wood-fired pizza I ordered. I think the base was made from the bark of the wood to stoke the fire, couldn't cut it with a knife and it was even more difficult to chew. Sparse toppings apart from the dry rocket. All up $165 for 1 glass of wine, 1 soda water, the pizza, crab risotto served on a flat plate with no parmesan cheese (it looked like a plate of vomit. Add 2 desserts & 2 coffees. Very disappointed. I won't be back. Paid most of the $165 for the view.
Really rude over the phone when taking booking -reading other comments seems there is a poor staff mentality which clearly is letting the down the restaurant. Will go elsewhere.
After paying in advance $180 for a set menu Valentine’s Day, what a disappointing start we have no oysters left, so we ordered rubbery calamari after finishing our entree, drinks came then waited over an hour, no mains so I asked can you see what happened to our meals, oh I’ll go see, comes back to be told they will be a few minutes, ok so 15 mins has gone past still no food mind you it’s after 9.15 pm we are starving, so we decided to leave offered to pay for the one drink, so as the story gos I had to go home and cook, been going to this restaurant for 12 years won’t be going back
Thank you for an excellent night for our 23rd wedding anniversary. Wonderful service and excellent food with a lovely view.
Sea view dining has to be the best! Food and atmosphere was gorgeous, the staff really made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us. My son has food allergies and they were so helpful. Reasonably priced too!
Extreme disappointment after spending a lot of money.
In my opinion: -
Manager unsmiling so right from the entrance bad experience
Kept waiting for drinks order and served cocktails mid starter (cocktails were best part of meal).
Starter - calamari was rubber, cauliflower was served part cooked and cold and tasteless
Complained to waiting staff re poor starter and asked this to be forwarded on to manager - left waiting until main course served. No response from manager.
Main course average and ok - had to asked for wine list as mains served before chance to order wine.
Very average dessert.
Bill paid to unsmiling manager.
Whole experience painful and unjoyful.
You are paying for the view and not the food. Plenty of choice elsewhere……
Great location, great view, lovely restaurant
Food over priced, calamari over cooked and rubbery, dip plate $32 to share, 3 tasteless dips that a bit of salt or squeeze of lemon could have fixed served with a fresh oven baked herbed flat bread that was raw and doughy around the edges, prawn dish for main course $48 5 prawns head and tail intact on a few spoons of tomato risotto.tasty and well spiced but no plate or bowl for heads and tails, nothing to wash your hands after taking the prawns out of the risotto to remove heads. Side serve of asparagus $17 no more than a bunch with finely shaved pecorino. No serving utensils given.
Beer bottle handed to me with the waiter holding the top of the bottle.pizza very tasteless, very wet.it missed the mark completely.
The place is beautiful and so staff were so friendly too. The food is okay but it’s overpriced for its taste and servings. I don’t really recommend going to this place if you are very particular with the price and taste of the food unless you want to dine-in with a sea view.
