Pier Farm reviews
77Gorgeous venue on the water. The staff were welcoming and super friendly. They really enhanced our special celebration. Food was delicious. I highly recommend Pier Farm!
Beautiful location right on the waterfront, service impeccable and friendly. The seafood dishes were all absolutely delicious and fresh.
We hired out Pier Farm for our wedding and had a wonderful time! After hosting the ceremony on the deck, we opted for a stand up style and their menu allowed us to have multiple mini-meals ensuring there was plenty of food. The staff were incredibly attentive and the atmosphere fabulous! I would highly recommend this venue for a function.
Gorgeous venue, that was perfect on a really sunny day. We sat by the window and watched the boaties come and go.
The food was great Prawn Ravioli and whole fish were fantastic
We had the Antipasta plate to share however the serve was so big we took half of it home, just be awre if are not large eaters. Would highly recommend visiting and do try for a table by a window.
Our waitress was delightful and so helpful. We really enjoyed having lunch here and will be back soon.
As a group of 15, we did the set menu and were really pleased we did. The food was all of a very high standard. We were also impressed with the service, the staff are very helpful and happy.
Lovely food but astounded to be told just before 9pm that if we want dessert we need to order it now as they are about to close! On a Saturday night! Food bill almost $500 between the four of us and virtually pushed out the door. Pretty disappointed. You need to be told this when you book. Not good enough. The people on the table nearby still had wine in their glasses. Do not recommend.
Outstanding venue. Food is sublime. If your drink is half empty, expect being offered a top up swiftly.
My partner and I had our anniversary dinner at Pier farm and the food was absolutely amazing as was the service. Highly recommended!
To the blonde middle aged looking lady (possibly the owner/ manager) just a friendly reminder you are in the hospitality business! That means making your customers feel welcome! Your staff deserve 5 stars! You deserve to be unemployed
While the restaurant is in a beautiful location, with great views and warm setting, this unfortunately is the only positive.
Booked here for a special occasion and for seafood lovers only to have our experience ruined by rude staff and management.
Initially we were continuously urged to sit in our ‘perfectly good seats’ while we were just greeting each other and were not in anyone’s way (nor was the restaurant busy).
Children’s meal was essentially inedible with bones in fish and no flavor and then upon this feedback management were extremely defensive. Whilst in customer service the customer is usually ‘always right’ in this case they simply defended their meals and said there were no bones as they went through each piece, although the bone was left sitting on the plate.
We were advised by management that WE hadn’t been supervising our own children, all while a parent was either with them or eyes on them the whole time, and they were not interrupting any other patrons.
What a fabulous experience, the staff the food and the experience was excellent, hadn't been here for some time, was blown away with how good this place had become, great work!
Didn't think the bad reviews were true but they are. Food was not cook to standards, they mess up the order, they gave our birthday cake to another table.
The blonde manager was really rude to all of us, cant believe that this is the business standard.
I would not go back and I highly recommend not coming here for a celebration of any sort.
There was one waiter that was good (asian lady) the rest did not look like they want to be there.
It's ashame as this place as so much potential (with good views) just really bad management
I think restaurant manager needs to review her career and life choices. Never felt like I’ve bothered someone so much by being a paying customer in my life. Our waitress was lovely and was the only positive of our dining experience. This place should consider rebranding as Karen’s Farm.
Dined in with family today for lunch and the food was good. Unfortunately the service wasn’t. As I entered the beautiful restaurant I wasn’t greeted at the door, the waiter just pointed to a table of others that ‘looked like me. ’ When our table was ready an older male of Asian decent approached our table and was VERY rude. He rushed us through our order and demanded that we order a main even though we weren’t ready at that stage and only wanted entrees. As he placed the food on the table he was slamming the plates on the table and even pushed through some of us to clean up. No use of ‘excuse me’ didn't smile or ask if we wanted more drinks or needed anything else. Overall, Pier farm please train your staff up properly! Super rude customer service for a beautiful venue in a beautiful location.
This restaurant never mention anything about not refundable deposit, not even in their website. I ask for refund deposit but they refused. Very tricky, try to trick their customers with their policy which is not mention in any platform or explain anything during phone call booking. I still have more than 24 hours before my booking date and time. Super rude person on the phone. I realised this since my first call. Every questions they answer in a very very very rude way and always always interrupting my sentence.
Attended this venue as a vendor for a wedding being hosted there. Owner/Manager was extremely rude on arrival. Only allowed an hour to setup for the wedding as they still opened for a lunch service and wouldn’t allow any works to start until everyone else had left.
Food was sub-par at best. Definitely not wedding quality that you’d expect.
By 10PM, they were telling all the vendors to start packing up as they wanted to be out by 10: 30pm.
This business seems to be running as a cash grab more than anything. If you’re considering a wedding here, I’d suggest looking elsewhere
Glorified pub food, very disappointing. The eye fillet was dry and chewy, reminded me of my mums 2 minute steaks she used to cook for 10 minutes a side when we were kids; starters were bland and under seasoned.
Do yourself a favour and spend the same money at Bar Romanee in Yarraville, they know how to food.
Had an intimate family lunch to celebrate dad's 70th. Was a bit nervous having read majority of negative reviews and was hesitant. But it was a great day. The sun was out clouds wore blue the view was magnificent overseeing the pier, small boats, the city building and further out. The food was delicious fresh and you can taste it's quality of produce. The staff wore attentive and really pleased that they even said happy birthday to my dad:) ambiance was beautiful and afterwards a casual light walk around the pier was refreshing. Beautiful place.
Unfortunately if I could give zero stars I would!
We enquired about having a function about 5 weeks ago and the first question we asked was if we were allowed to have a little set up with a backdrop and balloons and we were told that we were and they would just put us to the side in a little section. They told us to go and have a look to see if we were happy with it and to then book it in. We then went on a couple of days later and were shown where we would be put and I showed the lady a photo of the little said up which she said ‘that’s fine we have had that so many times you can check out our website and socials to see some pics of what people have done.
Fast forward to 2 days before the function my husband called to ask a question to which the then said ‘oh by the way you can’t have a backdrop’ and all went downhill from there. The owner and his wife very rudely spoke to us and said we can’t have it and how they would never approve such a thing etc etc they changed the delivery and pickup times for the suppliers and generally were extremely rude about the situation. Now if were told before hand we would have happily cancelled but 2 days before is a joke! If your staff said it was okay it’s not our fault and we shouldn’t be blamed for it.
The lady setting up the balloons was treated very poorly to the point that my cake maker sent me a message to see if the lady was okay.
The waitress was really lovely but we were made to feel very uncomfortable and rushed. We asked for the desert menu and drinks menu 4 times at 2.20pm and instead our table was cleared and we were basically pushed out. We left at 2.40 with our set up and everything removed but the restaurant still had 2 other big groups there. Absolute joke!
5 stars to the lovely lady serving us and 5 stars to the chefs the food was amazing.
The rest was a joke and ruined our sons christening. You should be ashamed of how you treat people!
