Pie and Mighty reviews
53The best pies in Australia I've tryed a lot of pies over the years but no won comes close to his chunky beef or chicken pies, love them?
Great tasting chicken pies but never get the vanilla slices they are hard tasteless and old taste like they have been sitting in the case all week
By far the best pies I have ever had, and the customer service is excellent too! They are made fresh and have lots more filling than your average plain pie. Also have lots of variety and the meat is proper not just the processed meat you get from your service station pie. Definetly worth your time and money.
Easily the best pies you're going to find in the area, probably the state too. Have been ordering these pies for number of years, often bulk orders, and every single pie I've had has been amazing, especially the chicken, brie and cranberry. The quality is excellent and there's plenty of variety in flavours. A fantastic local business.
10/10. Chicken + White Wine is incredible. Chunky Beef is incredible. Why on earth would anybody spend $12 at McDonalds when you can get yourself two pies for the same price, and support a genuine business? Baffles me. Keep kicking goals guys!
Had a pie today from this place, and my goodness was it awesome, the pastry was fluffy and sweet, i regretting not getting more than 1 pie, shouldve got 4 pies, cause now, im craving it lol, good job guys keep it up.
Awful! Very disappointing, especially after all the hype. No flavour just bland and boring. We ordered a Sausage Roll, Meat Pie and Cornish Pastie and they were all just blah. No taste and or seasoning, save your money and just buy frozen options at the Supermarket.
WOW! Tried the pies after reading other peaple ranting on how good they were and I've come up with my opinion. I think that they would have to be some of the best tasting pies I've ever consumed and they are a must try to know what I'm talking about, so do yourselves a favour and indulge. AWESOME
My absolute favourite place to get pies. I always order chunky beef when I get the chance. Every person I bring here talks about how good they are and wants to come back.
Holy moly. I will definitely be back.
If you're after a good pie, this is the place.
So many flavours, great pastry, yum filling.
Fab pies, as all the awards attest. But the best of all are their pasties. Plus they will even sell you unbaked pastry if you ask nicely. It's just the thing for homemade goods.
Very very easily the best pies I've ever eaten. Obviously a passion for the owners, if you're in the area, make sure you check these out. Coming down from the Pie capital of Australia (In the region of Yatala Pies in QLD), we thought up here in QLD we had the best available, but not a shade on what these guys have done. Pies worth emigrating for.
This guy does hands down the best pies in Melbourne! We have been frequenting his store for about ten years and he never disappoints. We grab a family for for dinner and have with salad. Chicken Kiev would have to be our favourite, the chicken is so tender and moist. We also love lamb and rosemary, beef stroganoff and chicken Parma. The little cakes are nice too, though I don’t think he makes them in store.
Normally I don’t even like pies but his are fantastic. I think it’s the pastry. Then only thing is it seems like they change their closing time a bit throughout the year. Maybe depends on the season. Because they don’t have a website to list hours we never know if they will be open when we finish work so we only go there on weekends. Would also be good if they had a website so we could see a list of their pies as they do heaps and add new flavours all time time but not always in family size. However Will, the owner, is always good about making you a non-standard one of you give him a day or so notice. He did a steak and kidney one for us last year when we had a Harry Potter themed dinner (lol) and that’s not even on the menu! They do have brochures instore with their pies but I don’t think they are up to date with the newest ones. So would be good if you could see the up to date list online.
