Pettys Orchards

First time here. Gorgeous place. Ordered a flat white and hot chocolate, both unfortunately were terrible. Not sure if the barista is inexperienced or just an off day, but both drinks had to be thrown away. Ordered an apple pie to take home and it was the best we have had! Will go back back once quarantine is over to give them another go, they seem like they have a lot to offer.

Good cappuccinos and cakes available. Also organic fruit and vegetables.
Set in an old orchard and reachable by enjoyable walking paths along the Yarra River from east or west, or by car from the south.

Really good spot, but very popular today. Coffee was great, but not sure they are geared up for the crowd that was there. May be a case of it going big, but not having the resources to cope with it. However, will go back again for sure.

A beautiful place, with a beautiful location. The food is fresh and delicious, and the staff our kind. The playground is amazing, it just doesn't have any shade. They also provide tours of their orchids. A great place.

Like going to grandma's for the food!

On a beautiful property with the yarra river walk down the lane. Kangaroos are lounging under the apple trees at dusk.

Called in here for a coffee and bite to eat whilst out on a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon. Friendly staff, good coffee, nice food, pleasant surroundings.

Love this place for a casual lunch and relaxed afternoon tea. Kids can play in the outdoor park. Wpuld be great if the park had some shade and maybe better coffee but otherwise highly recommend it.

Great quality produce and friendly service. Check the timing as stocks can run low (later on a Thursday I found). The cafe has a good set up with a lot of tasty options.

This place has gone from strength to strength over the years and Nancy and John are always adding more bonuses for those making the journey out to this little piece of the countryside tucked behind the decadent ugliness of Templestowe. Great local produce, excellent choice of other organic fare, yummy cakes and nice coffee. There is even a new playground. Rustic goodness:) You can even ride your bike here along the Yarra trail.

Great little cafe BUT how about posting on your website that you are closed.would have saved us the walk!

Such a beautiful spot near the river with fresh farm goods and great coffees, there is a little playground and sometimes you can spot Kangaroos chilling in the orchards having a nap nearby.

Shut please note that the orchard is closed until 11th January 2019. Two disappointed children and their UK grandparents visited today after checking on-line that they would be open!

Awesome walk to get there from the mini railway station and the setting is awesome for a meal.

Walking from the mini railway station you follow the walking track to the back of the park and you will come to a bridge going over the river, when you reach the other side you turn left and follow the path up.

You will see a sign pointing to the restaurant on the right and you can buy groceries and things from there also.

Located along the banks of the Lower Yarra.
This place is steeped in history. One of the very early operating orchards from the 1800s.
The buildings are original so one can really appreciate what life must have been like at the turn of the century.
The birdlife will fly in and around the outside tables to say hello, not forgetting the ducks, rabits and large numbers of kangaroos.
The cafe serves great coffee, cakes and tasty lunches.
Do yourself a favour and pop in. A real hidden gem!

Nice basic cafe with lots of food choices from the glass display. The walking routes along the river are magnificent. The coffee is good, no hipster waiters breaking your balls.

Nice destination for a Yarra walk. Coffee is not too bad, snacks and fresh produce great. Playground has been upgraded a little, definitely scope to refresh the whole place while maintaining the character.

Great place to stop at when walking along the Yarra, or for a visit otherwise. Good coffee and food, large outdoor areas for adults and kids alike. Also sells some produce and other goods.

Food Variety was wanting no alcoholic beverages. Would have stayed longer had the place was licenced

Really local hidden gem with organic produces and food, sometimes the queue can get long it’s good to go early during the day before everything runs out

I have a lot of love for this place. Great food, lovely staff and a beautiful place to spend a few hours on a sunny day or grabbing shelter on a rainy one. It's a cafe and an organic groser and obviously and Orchard. Family and pet friendly. A half hour walk along the creek from Eltham Lower Park is a nice way to find your way there if you want to do something other than a drive to a cafe.
