They could do so much with this place but service, food- terrible and coffee average. I wish I could buy it

Very good presentation. However, the weather didn't let us enjoy the place.
Excellent coffee.

Staff were rude, made comments at 5pm that this was the last smoothie order they would be making although they close at 5.30pm. Food was expensive for what we got, not a good experience. Such a pity as the surroundings are beautiful and serene.

Great casual cafe with plenty of room outside for kids to run around. Perfect stopover for the cyclists on the bike track.

Good coffee, wonderful cakes, friendly staff and good location. Just need to spruce it up a bit and get back to clearing tables.

Had my Sunday off with my fruend at this place. Fantastic and friendly atmosphere provided by hospitable staff. Organic vegs and fruit. Bought black potatos first time in my life. Backed them at home. Marvellous. Coffee shop and home made food left only great impression on my friend and myself.

What am amazing place, the last ground needs some work but otherwise just beautiful. Great coffee and cakes too.

My niece got the creeps from the negligence of the place with smashed windows on sheds, peeled paint, long weeds and lack of maintenance. This is not good Itergrated pest management strategy from my perspective and needs much work done. She was hoping to pick her own apples to try on the taste day, most farms allow this but not this one, instead $5 bag of apples at the end. Some apples such as the Russet was very tasty. But no grafted trees for sale.

Good stop for a drink and bite to eat just of the Main Yarra trail. Shame they use all disposable containers to serve food, even for eat in. A place like this should be championing waste free service

Gorgeous location! However. Cafe food/drinks range is very limited. Cafe staff service was terrible - they had no idea what they were doing. We were expecting some freshly squeezed apple juice or fruit to purchase - nothing but a pile of bird pecked apples that "hadn't been sorted yet" according to cafe staff.

Shabby, dilapidated building bit of a ramshackle experience, with high quality homemade food and super friendly staff. Large play area for kids that's in full view. Playground is good and you can watch kids whilst eating. Place has farm feel with beautiful views of river landscape and trees. Apple orchard surrounds cafe with plenty of bird life. Some good walks and bike rides to and from cafe. In order to earn a good feed, please ride, run, walk otherwise you're missing out on the yarra river experience of taking it all in as you get there.

Very relaxed place with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a great selection of hot food, slices and cakes plus excellent coffee.

Petty Orchard has gone backwards the apple pie was a shadow of its former self, all pastry and very little apple. One had to dispose of one’s rubbish in a filthy bin, not good enough

This place is great. Their fruit actually tastes like fruit should taste instead of the fruit in supermarkets that are pumped full of chemicals. The only downside is that their freshly baked items are so good that I can't stop and I'll end up fat if I go there every day! Am I still allowed to say fat or should I say thick or above average instead?
Nahhhh, their cakes are so good I wouldn't be able to stop eating them. I'd end up fat!

We held a very meaningful family event here and John and Nancy were amazingly supportive. Brilliant cafe and organic grocery, beautiful surrounds, kids playground, gazebo and lawn for holding events of all types, ample parking for events of up to 100's of participants.

They always greet us with a cheery hello and smile. The coffee and the food are delicious with a great choice of pies, quiche, cakes, muffins with vegan and gluten free options available also.
Dog friendly and fun in the outdoors for children with a play area and large lawn to release some energy. Highly recommend.

First visited on 28 Nov 2020, along with a bike riding group. While coming from Eltham bike path, we took a left turn after crossing a bridge. Nobody can guess, how big a place this is.
I had a potato lentil veggie ball + green juice.
Potatoe lentil is good.
Green juice can be better.
But overall place feels authentic, though it could renovated a bit.
Food is fresh & nice but feels a bit expensive.

The walk from Lower Eltham Park to Pettys Orchard is lovely, and a coffee and yummy cake at Pettys Orchard is a nice stop before heading back. There are lots of friendly magpies to talk to there and it is popular to walk your dog to there too.

Lovely place but not enough seating for the amount of customers waiting for service, water for dogs would be a bonus too.

Very nice place for family, walking and bike riding, you may see kangaroos and more wild life, also a playground for kids, organic vegetable, fruits and high quality coffee, pastry and cakes is another advantage.
