Penny Young

I would never recommend coming to this place again. After being offered a space to hold a function for several hours, just a few hours later we get asked by staff to cut down an area that had originally been reserved for an entire evening. It was quite humiliating to be pushed into a smaller area after being told it was wasting space which apparently came to a huge cost to the business. After several warnings from the staff at Penny Young about space issues as well as complaints coming from customers, we eventually left the venue early with a lot of confusion, frustration and anger. This was a huge embarrassment to all that were involved. We are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this overall service. Our event was sadly ruined. If anyone wishes to hire a function for any particular event, I would advise to look elsewhere. We rate the general service as very poor from Penny Venue.

Great place, probably the best pizza I have ever eaten! It seriously rivals Brunswick bars which is saying something in moonee

Really interesting and diverse range of beers and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. It seems to randomly flip between being a family restaurant and being a casual bar, which isn't a bad thing I guess.
My main complaint is that it closes too early.

Great atmosphere with a large selection of alcoholic drinks. Sadly the food is lovely but a bit pricey. $20 odd for a large pizza.

Thanks to Jacob and the Penny Young/P Younger & Co team for their excellent service for our function. The staff were incredibly accommodating and communicated with us throughout the whole planning process, and just as lovely on the night. The venue, food and service were wonderful.

Thank you so much to Jacob and the entire team at Penny Young! I had my 21st last night at the new Penny Younger & Co.and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every single staff member involved including the Penny Young management, the bar staff and the caterers were so friendly, professional, hard working and went above and beyond to make sure the night went perfectly. The venue was absolutely beautiful and everyone involved (In particular Jacob, who was fantastic and efficient with communication from the get go, and checked in with me throughout the night) couldn’t have been more accomodating to what we wanted in terms of budget, dietary requirements and many other tiny details and I felt like everything was exactly the way I’d pictured it. All of my guests remarked how excellent the evening turned out and how wonderful the staff were, so much so that everyone happily kicked on next door at Penny Young after the party. Can’t thank you guys enough and I would absolutely recommend the venue to anyone interested in hosting a function:)

Great bar down a side street of Moonee Ponds. Brilliant selection of beers, very tasty pizza and friendly staff. Gets pretty crowded in there so if there is a group of you, I recommend getting in early. If you like your craft beers, make sure you check out the attached bottle shop!

We are loving the new bar attached to the bottle shop. Great tunes, awesome craft beers on tap and some excellent wood fire oven pizzas. Great for a weekend session. We were only stopping by for a quick drink.and before you know it, a couple hours and gone by. Will b back soon

Pizzas are great.great atmosphere.here ar 12 for lunch.but the star attraction is the attitude of the bar man GLENN.he is awesome.look for him.he makes that place special with the RIGHT ATTITUDE of serving and defining customer service

Such a cost venue for winter, can't wait to visit in the warmer weather. Well curated bar and tasty food.

Highly recommend getting down to this place! Great vibes and great food! Got served by a fella named Ilio, he provided fantastic bar service the entire night! Will be coming back!

Much needed in the area. Very cool atmosphere, mix of crowd of all ages. Staff helpful and polite. Make sure you make a booking in advance because the place does get packed very quickly since it's not too big.
