Peninsula Hot Springs reviews
73Less said, the better. If you have been to Mornington and not gone here, what are you even doing in life? This is a must must go!
Night time bathing under the stars, frogs croaking in the background, only made more perfect when it rains slightly.
Beware of your belongings! We recently visited the hot springs and were availing of the Spa Dreaming Centre. The facilities were great, a slight struggle at time to get some space within the pools, but friendly staff and clean changing rooms. We used the pools, then went for our massages. I took my bathers off to go for my massage, and hung them up to dry so that I could pop them on after my treatment and make the most of the rest of our evening there. Unfortunately on my return an hour later, they were gone. I will absolutely admit that they do provide lockers to use free of charge so hold my hands up for that element of things, however I did not expect to experience theft and there were other suits also left out to dry. I popped out to reception to ask if they had been moved by the cleaners and to be honest, I was disappointed with the response. I stood in reception, with no bathers on under my robe, waiting for a response while they asked the cleaners. After waiting in front of the desk for 10 mins I was asked was I waiting for dinner.they had forgotten why I was even there. I reminded them and then they asked the cleaners for help. After a wait I was told they had no sign of them and that it was likely a guest had taken them. I asked how I was going to avail of the rest of my day with my partner when I had no bathers and I was told they had a shop I could purchase new ones from, with a 5% discount. To be honest after an already expensive day, I could not afford this, so we had to cut our day short and go home. I do understand that they were not responsible for 100% of my negative experience, but having just experienced theft at their venue, I would have been hopeful of more assistance - at no point did anyone sympathise or emphasise, I was just told oh that's a pity, we'll call you if they turn up during the week. Not great service from a pricey venue that talks about luxury treatment. In short, the venue is lovely, the massages are ok, but beware of your belongings and don't relax so much you end up only getting to experience half of your day!
Yet another business discriminating against those who choose what to put in their own bodies. Pretty shameful.
We really had a great and relaxing time after a busy week. The facility are well maintained and friendly staff
Great collection of baths, sauna etc. Spent a night glamping and relaxing. Good food, great staff.
Beyond our expectations, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were amazing and clean. We booked two extra services, a private spa session and relaxation massage. Can not recommend them enough. Followed by dinner in the restaurant, food was exquisite, compliments to the chef.
Thoroughly enjoyed out time there and would highly recommend it to all. Will definitely be heading back to enjoy and relax in the tranquil surrounds.
The staffs at the Bath House and the reception were very nice and welcoming. Our experience in the pools was pretty amazing too.
We just had a terrible experience with the Bath House Cafe which almost damaged our good time. We got the weekday bath+grazing platter. There were only a few in the cafe (not busy then), we ordered (to Mitchell) and we waited for 20min, but no platter arrived! We let the other staff know and she said “sorry we lost the ordering docket! ” We had to wait for another 20 min (40min in total) until our platter finally arrived!
I don’t expect a cafe in a hot springs to have a high standard really, but this was totally unacceptable and irresponsible! We had to wait for 4min wet and cold and will probably get cold tomorrow too, and they just said “sorry, we lost the docket”!
We want our money for the platter back!
Its my first time on a hot spring, and it really exceeded my expectation. Go early so there is less people.
I believe the amount of peopeople allowed per day or hours should be controlled in order to experience a relaxing time. It was full of kids screaming, crowded in the pools, a lot of noise and didn't feel calm at all.
I guess is a good place to visit in a Monday morning. It didn't feel clean neither in the bathrooms and the lockers bracelet doesn't work straight away (I went through 3 different lockers) And nobody explained nothing to us about the installation or how did the experience was going to be.
Sorry but, pretty disappointed.
One of my best experience in VIC state, the area is gorgeous and the staff is amazing, I definitely recommend the experience for a group of friend, a couple or a family.
We enjoyed our visit here. It wasn't super clear what was and wasn't open and where we could/should go within the ponds and pools. The pool at the top of the hill was uncomfortably packed by sunset and its filter box often made loud gurgling noises which killed the vibe a fair bit.
Awesome place if you go on the right day. It is required to book a time slot in advance, but every time we visit, it seems like it is overbooked. In many instances there would be almost no space in a lot of the pools. It would be a much better experience with a little less people around. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best days for a visit. Don’t bother going over the weekend.
Great place to come and enjoy unique experience.
This place constantly is improving and expanding, so every visit we're pleasantly surprised with new section added always keeping grear care snd attention to the smallest details.
We went with our family and had a wonderful time. We ensured we got there early at 8am as we had two children with us and so they could use all the pools until 10am. Don't worry to much about shoes and other bits and pieces as you just have to carry them with you from pool to pool. I probably wouldn't take a water bottle next time as there are plenty of fountains around.
Very relaxing well worth the visit, Peninsula Springs is great, the only down side if there is one "Parents look after your children" they are yours not everyone else's!
Highly recommend, not so busy, beautiful views, wonderful bathes has a big choice of them, friendly and professional staff, always Check the water temperature and taking samples of water, the cafeteria was alright nothing special, next time I prefer to bring food with me. Recreation for a whole day.
STUNNING! Love! Love the new area. This is a MUST GO! Enjoy! Can barely wait for winter as am hanging out to enjoy the springs. So beautiful! Love the restaurants too. Good Quality everything. Luxury Luxury Luxury!
I went there with Elise on Saturday 4th November 2017 and we both had a Pizza. I had Ham and Cheese and she had BBQ Chicken also we went for a swim in the Pools. We both really enjoyed our Pizzas as they melted in our mouths.
Love the private bathing but there are alot of people. Thank god its getting extended. They need to have clay at the clay ridge been there 3 times now and theres never any clay.
