Really cool new joint, friendly service, great food and some nice beer. The range of beer is not huge but that can be a bonus. Not to expensive, would go back again.

Amazing beer and range of food. We were here twice in our short stay and planning to come again. Very good service

Very beautiful building with giant windows, in which you can see the gorgeous surrounds, and friendly staff.

I had the BFC (Beer fried chicken) with the Mac n Cheese, and I was extremely disappointed. My husband is American, so seeing an American dish (Chicken and waffles) we thought to order it - it sounded delicious.
However, it‘s crispy chicken (which was amazing), on hard crispy macaroni, smothered in spicy mayo
What is the point of putting the buttery Mac n Cheese in a waffle press? It tastes like uncooked macaroni!
The balance of having something crispy (the chicken) + the spicy sour cream with something cool and creamy (the Mac n cheese) would have made a balanced, delicious dish, but I think this place has tried to be too hipster for their own good. If I come here again, I wouldn’t be getting this dish unfortunately.

Absolutely great restaurant. The slow cooked beef cheek was next level, a good portion, not huge but absolutely enough to fill you up. I’ve seen worse food sold at a higher price in many places. Food came very quick and was served piping hot. Beer was fantastic, with an extremely informative beer menu and a diverse selection of options. A fair few tables, but not a massive place, with high ceilings and big windows it seems open and spacious yet cozy, great atmosphere. Not TOO busy in early November, but filled up by 7pm. I reckon come peak summer season, you’ll have to get here early or book ahead. Thanks for the great night!

A regular visitor to Halls Gap and was nice to see Paper Scissors Rock open up some time ago. Came here on a warm October evening with work colleagues for dinner. It's quite a modern, funky establishment that stands out from the 'norm' of Halls Gap. An overdue addition to the township.
The lamb with salad was a very nice portion size with a taste that is memorable. Ingredients fresh and crisp, sauce delicate without being overbearing. Dietaries are easily catered for - just let the staff know.
The beers on tap are plentiful as well as local wines to try.
Staff are fabulous. Locals who know what they are doing and know how to excel at customer service.
You can dine in or outside and no doubt as the warmer months come along, there will be many people sitting outside with beers watching the kangaroos hop down the street (that part is for the non locals).
The restaurant is kid friendly, particularly because it's spacious and the outside offers plenty of area for the little ones to stretch their legs and play. PSR is also wheelchair accessible.

This is a must visit restaurant/brewery if you are coming down to the grampians/halls gap area. It seemed like a family run business with amiable servers and ample space inside and outside. I especially loved the long wooden tables. Every single dish we tried was amazing and we were really happy by the end of the meal. Highly recommended!

Incredibly good food and beer! On eye level with high class gastro pubs in London or New York - or even better. Highly recommended!

A great addition to halls gap. Beer is good and I expect will get better with time. Aspect of the location is spectacular. Food was good but on the pricy side. If the can put up a few umbrellas catering the front tables and a fan inside I could quite easily see myself enjoying a quite afternoon beer or three here. Beware of the tasting paddle, samples are huge.

Beers are good - food needs a little work, they are being to fancy. Just keep it simple guys, local and fresh - I could taste that my pita bread was frozen, homemade only tastes great when it's fresh.

Perfect place to enjoy a beer or two, or try them all in a paddle! Amazing food, with really delicious vegan options on the menu.

Very nice brew. I had the "normal beer" and it's a lovely drop. If your a bit apprehensive of craft beer this one is the go. Clean and smooth with a nice beer taste and not too hoppy!

One of the very few places that will offer you a decent feed in the afternoon (as most of the eateries stop taking orders around 2pm)
Menu has decent options for adults and kids.

Great beers. But I must say the beef cheak as a main was absolutely tasteless. Few tips. Stick in some onions garlic a lil sumac and salt n pepper. Finish it with a side of finger lime chilli Mayo and ya will be on a winner. Also the pulled lamb was the same. Tasteless meat. Other than that was a great atmosphere and the arancini balls were brilliant. Job done

Fantastic small batch brewer with big flavours that really impress. Only wish we had have taken more than one growler home! Can't wait to come back to see what these guys do.

Also the food was great!

It's been a month and I'm still trying to find something as good as their Citra SMASH. Too bad I live so far away. They have excellent food and fantastic beer.

We were in Halls Gap a few weeks back and we went to this place 3 times in 2 days.

We drank every beer they had and I can honestly say that I loved every single one.

Mostly ales ranging from light and refreshing options to a couple of IPA variations. A Russian Imperial Stout topped of the list. Yum.

Food was on point also.

Spent a lot of time chatting to the owner Pat about brewing and the furniture he made for the bar. Great bloke.

Great atmosphere, but our meals weren't made with care. The bahn mi was simply a very dry roll with pork and a bit of vietnamese mint, not at all authentic or enjoyable. My man had the beef bourguignon, sans beef.

Absolute delight of a place, not to loud, nice view, will chosen interior. Whoever put this place together knew what they were doing. I rarely see a such "well put together" place in Melbourne, can't believe that i found one in halls gap of all places. If i had one note it would only be seasoning. Beef checks and arancinis require just a bit more, but an absolute delight otherwise.
