Lovely clean cinema complex. The most amazingly comfortable chairs. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great cafe onsite. Would definitely drive across town again just for the ambience of these cinemas.

Love the decor and smaller theatre cosier. Being able to drink your favourite alcoholic or non alcholic beverage whilst watching movies a plus

Loved that when you walk into cinema sit in lovely blue velvet seat, look around room, most gorgeous colored fringed curtains draped from ceiling to floor so dramatic, around the room, delish sandwiches and cakes for lunch in foyer afterwards, enjoyable day out

I absolutely love this cinema for the choice of movies and the atmosphere. It's never crowded and it's cosy. The only downside is parking, as it's not that easy to find: you have to park either on the main street or on the side streets, where there are too many annoying restrictions.

It's kinda small cinema but it doesn't matter if you go with a small group. The staffs are nice, the cinema is pretty clean.

A lovely refurbished Art Deco Cinema when going to watch a film still feels like a night out, as it used to be in years gone by. The seats are very confortable and we love that the tickets are a bit cheaper that in other cinemas. We enjoy the choice of food, drinks and ice creams available.
I like to go and watch special movies here, it’s that kind of movie theatre.
Parking can be difficult, so take your time, so you don’t miss the beginning of the film!

Great theatre let down by the staff. Ordered food which was confirmed would be brought to us in the theatre, however staff failed to provide. Upon exit was informed that food is not to be brought into the theatre which was contradictory.

Olde-Worlde charm to this place. Parking is a little bit of a challenge which means a bit of a walk for the driver, but everyone else can be dropped off and picked up at the front door. The theatres themselves have been updated with large comfortable leather chairs, but they are small with a cozy feel. Well worth the visit on a date, especially if it's with someone you're comfortable with.

Stacks of theatres so you can see virtually any movie that's currently on. Most comfortable seats in Melbourne bar none. Better than the gold class seats elsewhere.

Wonderful staff, simple and elegant design and the seats aren’t too bad, although very different to how other theatres number their seats which confused me and others attending too.

That said, I saw the Film “Yesterday” and it was very enjoyable, but weather it was the film or the projectionist (likely projectionist) kept progressively making the film louder and louder as the movie progressed, maybe they were a beatles fan? But it became audibly difficult to sit through in the last half hour of the film.
For that, minus a star.

Everything else seemed great.

I booked tickets for the wrong night I contacted the cinema and they had no problem with giving me tickets for the correct night, great customer service and a lovely place to visit will be back

Intimately set, seat's close to the smaller screens. Crisp image quality, speakers were good with ambient noise near tricking me the movie occurred inside the cinema itself.

Unfortunately we would Not recommend "Once upon a time in Hollywood" It was a total puzzle of nothing. We walked out. Not for us.

Lovely building makes it a great place to be. If you are not familiar it can be difficult to find your cinema quickly. Nice selection of snacks and drinks. I can't speak for the event housing options. The staff are generally friendly and helpful but if you are going at an of peak time they can be hard to locate upstairs.

Good afternoon,

Today 10 July my daughter and I went to "Red Joan" @ 1 15pm. When I went to the counter to buy tickets I was told it was a small theatre and there were only two front seats vacant. I refused the offer asking if there were any disabled seats? Answer, we are not allowed sell them until after the film starts. How ridiculous is that? I explained disabled folk come early to make sure they are seated before lights go out.

Attendant then found the manager who released the seats at the back. The small theatre was full.

The movie was excellent, but everytime I go to The Palace Theatre I seem to have an issue.

First review 2018.

I am sitting in your Cafe before attending the Andre Rieu film of his recent concert at the Sydney Town Hall. I attempted to order a toasted sandwich,   a pretty basic ask.no toaster,   so a blueberry muffin,   no butter. No serviette either when delivered to my table.

This is 2018, nearly 2019, your theatre maybe old,   but please, the service should not be.

Parking is abissmal too for the aged like me at 84 years old.

Hope you see to these basic services when and if I were to return in the future.

kind regards,

Helen M Allin

Tastefully renovated and updated, with comfortable cinemas, a well stocked snack bar, and most importantly, an excellent selection of current films to view! Highly recommend this place

Used to enjoy taking my daughter to the cheap weekend sessions. The seem to be gone now. Would be great if they came back!

Watched "Yesterday" very cosy and close to home. Doesn't have gold class but salons a not huge which makes a smaller audience and reduces clutter and noise. You can buy your wine and walk in to watch the movie. Will definitely go again. Good atmosphere!

The lack of parking in the area is stressful as most of it is only 2 hours. Apart from this the cinema itself is wonderful

Really nicely kept and managed Cinema. They also participate in a number of film festivals and occasionally syndicated events.
