The shop has lots of great options for gear, thoroughly recommend.

Size selections and colours are very limited which is fair enough for a store that size. Most of the generic sizes often unavailable.
(Not sure if you can order-in specific products in sizes and colour in store if unavailable, but that be good.)

Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to buy some quality gear and will definitely be shopping there again myself.

I love coming to this store for my hiking and camping needs. Now that I know that it is here. From the front it looked like it was abandoned several years ago. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Michael and his staff were very patient assisting me when selecting my new backpack.
Went into the store last week and the outside has been fixed up. Well done.

I can always count out on Paddy Pallin for stocking the best brands and excellent service. Their staff walk the talk, are passionate about the outdoors and more interested in helping find the right product than making a sale.

Ringwood store is the best, with an awesome (& permanent) clearance section out back!

Awesome staff. Never been to a store that had every staff member enthusiastic to help you find the right gear. Decent collection in apparel. Lacks outdoors sunglasses range. Surely few more visits. Visited today, still the top class service.

Fantastic Customer Service
Dylan and Michael from Paddy Pallin Ringwood were super helpful in assisting me find a bag for my upcoming Europe trip! Dylan went above and beyond to find me a bag that fitted my needs, and even took the time to show me the proper way to adjust and fit the bag to my height and even put some weight in it to try! And Michael was fantastic serving me at the counter and getting me the bag I wanted for a great price and even delivered to my house. Thankyou both for the great service! I highly recommend going in and seeing them for all of your hiking needs!

Manager and the male Customer Service staff so helpful and their customer service rock, Cant say the same about one particular female staff member who acts like she cant be bothered her when asked for help

Knowledgeable staff that were extremely helpful with the purchase of my first hiking backpack. They have weights instore that simulate a loaded pack. The staff then had the pack fitted on me. Plus they're one of the few stores that stock Osprey backpacks. Make sure to go for the membership to save a quick buck.

I encourage those new and veterans and in between to the scene to support these local guys. Will be making my future purchases from here!

Great shop. Normal retail store at the front and clearance section at the rear with a large range of quality gear. Very helpful staff who were knowledgeable, polite and attentive. Thank you. Easy walking distance from the train station)

I want to love 'the little guy'. But I can't after driving 40 minutes to purchase a product that's STILL shown as in stock on the website, only to get there and the product was apparently reserved for someone else. The shop has a good selection of gear, the gentleman who assisted me was friendly and helpful, but that sort of thing just isn't good enough. You shouldn't have to call up a store to double check online inventories if it says 'in stock'. If theres less then 5 or something then just change the website to say 'call to confirm' if you want to operate that way.

Thrilled with the service I got from Dylan today, nothing was too much trouble and walked out with a terrific pair of boots and some recommendations on tents I should consider.

Over the years lots of outdoor shops have changed. Paddy Pallin is still the place to get the most reliable high quality gear.

First outdoor shop I've been too where the staff were great and came up to offer their experiences with equipment and speak openly about what needs I required. HIGHLY Recommend this shop.

I used to go to Paddy Pallin and laugh in horror at the prices; I now identify as an 'outdoorsy' type and am VERY accustomed to justifying spending silly amounts of cash on new gear

HOWEVER, this Paddy P is my go-to if I ever want a killer discount on top notch stuff! There's no guarantee that they'll always have exactly what you want, however, there'll be at least a really decent alternative and most likely it'll be discounted to a VERY generous degree!

There's always good sales in stock and the staff are reliably wonderful - Ian is always across anything / everything you could ever dream to enquire about which is immensly useful, esp when you enter the deep dark rabbit hole of outdoors equipment
