I am very disappointed by my most recent visit to Chadstone Oscar Oscar salon.i have been coming here for years and took a break because of the price.however i thought i would give them another few tries as i've usually had a great experience (few years ago). Only to get let down and left having spent a fortune.i had booked in for a treatment and a "toner". But i called them a week before to ensure i would like colour included in my appointment.the man on the phone said "yes colour is in there". So naturally i was expecting colour appointment.but when i rocked up on the day the lady that i had booked in with told me she had no time for colour.and no time to blow wave my hair either.so i was left with pretty much the same colour and look as before i entered the salon. Not to mention i was then asked to buy a voucher for a promotion on top of my already $250 appointment which i was not happy with.i declined and quite frankly do not even want to re book again! Really upsetting given hairdressers are so expensive at salons and it is really hard to find a good hairdresser that just does what you ask and all i want to do is leave happy.but i left miserable and this was right before christmas also.

Worse experience ever.
They bleached my hair and didn't achieve the desired style despite telling me that with bleach for better result. (however the colour I wanted didn't need any bleach)
Additionally The lady who combed my hair felt like was trying to pull my hair out of my scalp.
Over price for bad service.

I hate to name names but Shocking experience with “Heba”.
Unprofessional, messy and talks very rudely. I’ve been to this salon multiple times, and hopefully they don’t notice me never returning.
Heba certainly made me feel ugly while doing my hair. I went home and cried. She has too much plastic surgery to know what real beauty is. I cannot stand Heba’s work ethic, she does not suit the place and she makes the salon feel “tacky”.

I went in for a wash and style and was attended to by Maddie. When having my hair dried once washed, it felt like my hair was being pulled/ripped as she went through it with a brush. She didn't brush it out to detangle my hair before going over it with a blow dryer and brush. I asked for soft waves with volume in which she tamed it and sprayed. I would've thought that some volume powder would've been used to keep the volume however once home, it all dropped. I didn't think $130 was worth it at all, it's something that I could've done at home. She was lovely but young and I didn't really get the customer experience I would've expected. I felt like I did initiate all the conversation, and whilst talking she would look at herself in the mirror.anyway, getting back to her work.wasn't anything I would pay for again.

Few days after sending an email, I was pleasantly surprised with the level of professionalism and response. Thank you for trying to rectify the issues raised.

I had Maddie for my last visit earlier this month. I wanted to opt in for a basic hair treatment together with my haircut to add some hydration into my hair after a holiday but she tried to upsell some other more expensive treatment as she said there was a “promotion” - get the treatment and get a voucher to purchase a product for $50.
So I went ahead with it, but she failed to tell me until right at the end of the haircut that I had to purchase minimum THREE products from ONE specific brand be be able to utilise the credit.

To add further insult, she tried to deny me my 10% discount as well because Maddie rudely said “you didn’t book correctly” and walked off? I originally had an appt booked the following week, but needed a see a hairdresser asap so I booked a week earlier (AND paid a $50 deposit online). Instead of finding a way to honour the discount, she tried to sweep the problem under the rug and said “we can apply to 10% discount next time”. Umm yeah no.

Oscar Oscar is known to give reoccurring customers 10% off their next visit - which is heaps due to the high premium that they’re charging customers. Mind you, I’ve been going to this salon for more than +2yrs and they can clearly see a record in their systems that I am a returning customer. They even confirmed that they could see the original appt booked for the following week but they still tried to charge me full price. Isn’t the whole point of having a discount was for being a returning customer?

The receptionist tried to charge full price, but I stood my ground and so she went to speak to a manager who allowed her to manually input the 10% at the end anyway.

The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I won’t be back and definitely won’t be recommending Oscar Oscar Chadstone to others as well.

Cindy was so professional, lovely and exceeded my expectations for my haircut. She was so knowledgable and told me how to look after my hair properly. I feel amazing, like a million bucks and would definitely go back! Xo

Would NOT recommend - appalling

I booked Maddie 3 weeks ago to blow dry my 11 year olds hair just before her birthday party.

I called to advise we were running late due to the conjecturing in the Chadstone.car park. I spoke to Maddie certainly can’t say she was friendly, by the time my daughter sat in the chair we were 7 minutes late for our 2.45pm appointment. At 3.10pm a hairdresser finally spoke to us, not who I had booked not Maddie who I had booked and who had taken the call. At 3.37pm they had not even began to wash her hair, I reminded them we needed to leave as close to 345pm as possible. The hairdresser kept going between her other client and my daughter, what was suppose to be a blow wave to give my daughter’s hair body and bounce for her Birthday party turned into washing and just drying off. The main focus being on the other client having her hair colored. I have my hair cut and colored (blonde) every 6 weeks, I was thinking of changing hairdressers but considering how dismissive you were, the staff could barely open their mouth to speak, didn’t provide hairdresser requested and then kept us there almost an hour to dry her hair for a total 18 minutes during that 18 minutes checked the other client 3 times that would be a big NO!

Oscar Oscar has certainly gone down hill, appalling service no wonder the salon was almost empty. If you are going to charge for a premium service of $90 to blow dry a child’s hair then provide the service.

After all that her hair looked like it had been washed and left to dry naturally.

Highly recommended!
I went in today for some foils and a root smudge, when I first got there I was greeted by the lovely staff. I showed Kat Hannah my hair dresser inspo photos and spoke about what I was wanting to achieve, she was honest and said she would try her best to give me what I asked for without further damaging my hair and i respected her approach and let her do her thing.
I was extremely happy with my hair and she was able to achieve what I wanted. If your looking for a great team of professionals who communicate well and know what they are doing I would go here.

Best place for hair cuts, spa and balayage. I have been going to this place since 2021 dec. Can say its my go to place for new look.

I took my 12yo daughter for a basic haircut today-as she has long straight hair, she only needed a blunt straight cut. The total time spent to wash, cut & dry her hair was 45min. When I went to pay, we were charged $130 and we were never informed of this excessive price beforehand. I was absolutely mortified at this price-I feel we were completely taken advantage of. I have never in my life paid so much for a haircut. The last time we were at this salon 4 months ago for my daughter’s same haircut, we were charged $90. I will NEVER go back there again due to this excessive price gauging for a basic haircut for anyone-let alone for a child. I urge others to rethink visiting this salon.

I visited Oscar Oscar Salons in Chadstone two days ago to fix a bad haircut from another hair salon. My hairdresser was Madison, she was very sweet, kind and great at her work! She literally made me fall in love with my new haircut!

I would recommend them 100%.

I had the best experience today with Sonia. She listened and gave me the perfect style i wanted. Her suggestions for hair products was also on point. Would definitely recommend her to everyone!

Amazing haircut and came back for keratan treatment. Has seriously changed my life.styling my hair every day is now easy and fast. A huge thanks to Sonia for the amazing support, advice and care, appreciate it!

HOLY GRAIL! Finally, after years of trialling multiple hair salons and dropping a lot of dosh as well as contending with the occasional hair disaster, I finally found the Holy Grail of hairdressers in Nathan and Mandy a couple of years ago. Thanks to Nathan, my colour has never looked as good and thanks to Mandy’s magic cutting technique, my hair no longer has a mind of its own. Aside from Nathan’s and Mandy’s unquestionable talents, they are also lovely and grounded people that listen to their clients.

I have been seeing Nathan and Jacky for over a year now, and each time i’m left feeling so satisfied and in LOVE! With my hair. They both have clearly mastered their craft, and their passion for providing clients with beautiful hair is always demonstrated. One thing I particularly love about them is their focus on keeping hair healthy, and they will not push the hair to the point where it becomes extremely damaged, instead recommending alternatives specific to your wants. Their genuine care for clients makes the salon extremely welcoming, and you can truely enjoy your experience knowing that you are in extremely qualified, knowledgeable, and compassionate hands.

I love my hair cut! I asked for a layering. Daniel did my hair, suggested a way to keep my thickness and layering. Would go again!

Can I please just scream Ryan! He did an amazing amazing cut on my curls and he had such in depth knowledge on how curls work and gave me just the right volume I wanted. I’ve booked in an advance appt for next time again:)

I have got my hair coloured last week. Very unhappy about how the color turned out. I ve asked for an ash brown and my haired turned black. It will take me months to lighten the color.

Everyone is amazing followed my amazing services love my colour been going there for years never been disappointed ️

Honestly would not recommend going to oscar oscar to get blow waves, i went last year to get my hair done for the birthday and I literally had to get the girl to do it 3 times cause she wasn’t even curling it properly! On the third go she basically rushed my whole hair, she used a hair dryer to curl my hair then went over with a curling iron and curled chunks of my hair. Oh and the worst part she charged me $110! I had also paid a $50 deposit fee which she was charging me for again and i had to remind her i paid a deposit.
