Food was pretty good. Cant stand the surcharge for cards though. This is the age we live in. Cards are here to stay. Build the charges into your prices. I get it, you can't take cash and dodge the tax man anymore but welcome to the 21st century.

Thanks for a great meal. A no fuss tasty souvlaki and chips.
Note: The lamb meat tasted better than the chicken meat. Staff were friendly

I am not in the Oakleigh area very often but I order a souvlaki at Orexi whenever I am. In my opinion, they make the best in Melbourne.

What an absolute delight!

Traditional lamb souvlaki to die for. The lamb is cooked over Charcoal and you can taste the difference it makes!

Chips were fresh, well cooked and a generous size.

What I particularly like was that I went in to order 4 souvlaki and the girl behind the counter suggested I get the family pack which included a large chips and was cheaper that buying the 4 souvlaki on their own. This care towards the customer is something I adore and I haven't encountered in a long time.

Ordered the chicken wrap. The whole thing tasted bland and unseasoned. Very meh, a lot of better places for the same price.

Tried calling the place from 7 p.m. - 7: 15 p.m. Sat evening to order takeaway, phone rings out no one answers or you get busy dial tone. Rang 30 - 40 times. Gave up.

Amazing food. Lamb is nice juicy and has the right combination of actually tasting the meat and charcoal and marinade and salad complements well.

One star off for making a remark about me being an Asian which I overheard.

Love Orexi's wraps, chicken or lamb. I found personal very polate and friendly. As this is my favorite souvlaki bar, will come back for sure.

Authentic Greek souvlaki place. The older locals go here, which should give you an idea of the quality. Not flashy or pretty like the ships at Eaton Mall, but do an authentic tasty souva.

Food is OK, but if your not Greek or dont know the owners. You'll get treated like you don't exist. I waited half an hour today for 3 souvlaki and chips. The chips sat there getting cold while they served the regulars for 20 mins letting the rest of us know we don't matter to them. A shame they think they can disrespect paying customers like that in this day and age. If they dont want our business fair enough. They should just tell us that.

Prices at this restaurant are extraordinaryly high, food is average and so is the service.
Many places around Oakleigh sell much better souvlakis/kebabs/snack packs for a small good price. For example a normal souvlaki cost around $10 - $12 but here lamb souvlaki is $17 plus additional for extras.

I've always revered Orexi's lamb souvlaki, to me a delightful reminder of ancient Greece, however on my latest visit my experience was more of a Greek tragedy. The lamb, obviously the star ingredient, was chewy & fatty. No amount of tzatziki or salad can cover that up. An urgent improvement is required, katalevenis?

Best Souvlaki not just in Oakleigh but best in Melbourne. The meat just falls apart in your mouth.

Is actually amazing restuarant and the owner hes very nice man and the lam souvlaki is beautiful

Disappointing, ordered thru UBER and was overcharged for what we got.
Saganaki was tasteless no lemon or lettuce as the menu shows. Mixed plate with salad and chips looked good on the menu but all we got was a small container of mixed meat no salad or chips. Definitely won't be recommending or returning.

Ordered from Uber eats for the first time. Mixed souvlaki with chips and salad. Extremely disappointing. The salad was not fresh at all. The meat was so dry and inedible and the chips weren’t great either. The pita looked and tasted like the pita you buy from the supermarket. Would not recommend and will not return.

I called and made a reservation yesterday for dinner tonight as we had a group of 8. The staff member took note of my name and number of guests and said, "Great. See you tomorrow". When we arrived this evening they were CLOSED completely and not even open for dinner. Their website states that they are always open on Sunday evenings. Not at all happy.

Twice I have been to this establishment only to find they are closed during their normal operating hours please explain

The lamb here is epic. So so good.

I would say best souv in Oakleigh which basically means the best souv outside of Greece.

Highly recommend to any souv lovers!

Just enjoyed a souvlaki this evening with some friends. We were left satisfied with the quality and tastiness of the meat. And very impressed with the customer service-staff very polite and helpful!
