Orexi Souvlaki Bar Cafe

One of the best Lamb souvlaki I've had, chips are old school hand cut. Seafood is also very good.

The best souvlaki I have had for a very long time. The lamb was very tasty, juicy, and tender. Loved every bight.

It is always a pleasure travelling down to Oakleigh for a great cup of coffee and biscuits. Orexi has a cosy family interior that is welcoming. My husband and I sampled the souvlaki and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place thank you Orexi, we will be back!

Relatively new to Oakleigh and Orexi was the first souvlaki venue I’ve been too. Not disappointed lovely staff great food and authentic cuisine.

Amazing food. Lamb is nice juicy and has the right combination of actually tasting the meat and charcoal and marinade and salad complements well.

One star off for making a remark about me being an Asian which I overheard.

Update Dec-22: unfortunately F this place. Friendly towards other customers, poor attitude from all the staff because I’m Asian. Not going here again.

We got two lamb souvlakia, the meat in one of them was really dry, couldn't eat it. The thin pita they are using is not the proper pita, it's like uncooked dough. If they want customers to keep coming back, they need to bring the quality to higher standards/ greek style. Dry meat, needs to be thrown out, not served to customers. Get the proper pites.

We all loved the food. The meats are made on charcoal and are D E L I C I O U S! Everything was very fresh. Sorry if the pictures do not show the plates when arrived but we could not wait:)

I now live in Gippsland and don't come past orexi very much at all. My wife and I were driving to Chadstone and decided on a whim to go back. We were surprised that orexi was in a different location from where we remembered it last. We thought perhaps it would not be the same and we would be disappointed. NOPE STILL AMAZING! We loved it. Thanks so much for bringing back awesome memories. YUM YUM YUM

We had amazing Californian versions of Sushi. I am much more used to traditional style and this was a delicious and creative option!

If you want a hot lamb souvalaki that's huge for $14 with service that is "blink of eye", here's your souva place. Delicious, hot, well priced and fast service.

Best lamb gyros in Oakleigh. Been coming here for many, many years. Well before they moved from the corner of Eaton st mall. Great chips too and Greek soft drinks. Love it.

Meat and chips were very tasty.a little over priced for what you get, but not too bad.service was good, and staff were friendly. Toilets were smelly and you could smell it from the tables while eating which was unpleasant

Really great fresh tasty food. We just wish our son liked it more. Having returned for the first time in a number of years, it is still just as good.

Honestly one of the best open platters I’ve had in Oakleigh. The Gygro here is crazy juicy and you can immediately tell that the meat is high quality.

Staff are friendly and vibrant, and their service is extremely quick!

After trying a few souvlaki places around Melbourne and having average or bad souvlaki.
It was great to find a nice place that makes great souvlaki, meat was juicy and flavoursome, a very enjoyable meal

Customer service is dry but food is worse.
Experiencing the customer service while placing order I thought to myself, maybe they think their food is so good that they don't have to worry about customer service but Boy I was wrong. Food is plain at best and it's like no taste to it.
Only went there for first time since Kalimera was closed next door.

We were there at greek easter every food shop was busy on the day was told it was a 20 minute wait and that was fine with us even wait 40 minutes would've been ok but this is how my wife received her Hellenic Chicken snack pack.we didn't want to make a fuss on the day but whoever was looking after the meats should be sacked.

I went there with my family on a Sunday. The place was quiet. When they brought out our food it did not correspond to our order as they gave us a plate of food we hadn’t ordered. Then they failed to bring out an ice coffee and baklava that we ordered too. To be fair they gave us a refund on the extra food. Taste was pretty average but very sloppy service when the place was not even busy.
